UFC wants exposure? pay nick 500k to fight brown on FOX

Yea sure, call the retired guy who is 0-2 and have him fight a guy who is 7-0.

Leave Nick Diaz alone, he might be bicycling around with a big fatty on his hand as we read this forum, let it be.

LOL @ putting Nick Diaz on live TV.

He embodies the image the UFC is trying to keep from main stream...

I agree. Provided he passes the drug tests and avoids other controversy before the fight, you run the risk of him throwing up middle fingers/cursing on live TV/slapping opponent after the bell during the fight; after the fight, he's almost guaranteed to mumble something off-the-wall/obscenity-laden (not to mention the possibility of a post-fight tussle). While he's a veteran of the sport who has delivered many in-fight highlights, there's just too much baggage to deal with, especially with corporate sponsorship on the line.

lol he's been around 750-800K almost every time

11/18/06 UFC 65 Hughes v. GSP II 500,000
04/07/07 UFC 69 GSP v. Serra 400,000
12/29/07 UFC 79 GSP v. Hughes III 650,000
04/19/08 UFC 83 GSP v. Serra 530,000
11/16/13 UFC 167 GSP vs Hendricks 630,000

In case you were keeping track, that's almost half of the PPVs he did. So........

And btw, UFC 87 GSP / Lesnar 625,000

Well, you can't be right 100% of the time. lol

Could you post the other numbers for future reference?

Seriously. I've never disliked someone more after a win than when he went into BJ Penn and his corners face just screaming obscenities at them and repeatedly yelling "I Won that shit." for no particular reason other than being a complete douche.

It's funny that someone like that is loved and Jon Jones has to go get some fans after a fight.

Zero interest. Let's talk about Brock fighting Hunt while we are at it.

How many of the top 20 UFC PPV's was GSP Main or Co-Main in?

Surely, his 700k+ ppvs were

UFC 94 GSP v. Penn II 920,000
UFC 111 GSP vs. Hardy 770,000
UFC 124 GSP vs. Koscheck 785,000
UFC 129 GSP vs. Shields 800,000
UFC 154 GSP vs. Condit 700,000
UFC 158 GSP vs Diaz 950,000

So there's a pretty clear build-up and prime with GSP. And then either people stopped enjoying him and/or MMA toward the Hendricks fight, signaling a decline of one or both of them.

If Diaz had Strikeforce competition he'd still be fighting for way less than 500k.

Brown should get a legit top 10.

first round TKO for Nick via body punches

first round submission for nick via guillotine/armbar/rearnakedchoke/triangle

fifth round TKO via exhaustion

not worth 500k, plus they would not chuck that dude on FOX.
PPV

Would be a great fight Matt Brown and Nick Diaz, well worth a PPV.
