UFC vs Pride - which org is/was shadier?

so you think jones is free to dope, as long as he only pulses traces of long term metabolites.......while being tested more than anyone.

Pretty much. Can you explain how USADA is fair when Machida gets 2 years for admitting to taking DHEA and Jones has never been banned for 2 years for multiple offences for steroids? Are you saying USADA is fair?

they don't give "exemptions for using steroids"....

this is all nonsense.

it's amazing - the ufc have a world respected anti-doping agency administer their program, they have wada accredited labs following wada protocol and they have a globally respected arbitration process / firm and yet that's shadier than pride.

Yes. Because they use these tests and twist the punishments. Do you think the punishments are fair and equal? You think Jones receives the same punishment as Joe Bloggs UFC guy? At least in Pride it was fair. No testing.

machida got suspended for taking a prohibited substance per the rules. he didn't just "admit it and voluntarily give himself up". his results had it in his system. he failed a drug test and didn't go to arbitration.

jones went to arbitration both times, and he wasn't suspended for much longer only because of the written substantial assistance clause, which is available to machida as well.

jones got 1 year after an arbitration panel concluded he didn't intentionally cheat and was not a drug cheat (the panels words). and he got a reduced sentence for his second violation only for providing substantial assistance which of course is available to others.

stop blindly using 1 guy as your evidence when you're not even looking at it fully.

You think the punishments are fair and equal? That's pretty unbelievable. So why don't all fighters who fail tests do what you said is available to get shorter suspensions? How come it's only Jon Jones? Multiple time steroid cheat? Werdum? Years for 1st offence. Barnett. Years lost when he was acquitted in the end. JDS was also acquitted in the end. Too late. They lost years of fighting. You think that is fairer than no testing? In fact what happened to Barnett is about the worst thing that can happen to a fighter supposedly in a professional and elite testing pool like USADA.

Well the panel are corrupt. Funny they find the biggest star outside of Conor with the greatest UFC future to be not intentionally cheating.

No he is not right, stop enabling idiocy

Sorry to do this, but I must let you know: you think that he is not right and I think that he is right, idiocy is to keep believing that an organization with fights like Butterbean-Zuluzinho, fighters like Akebono, Giant Silva, Sapp and those ridiculous entrances like professional wrestling was something great, PEDs use was rampant, the yakuza was in charge of the business, at the end Pride died because of corruption luckily for the MMA community

and they kept his 1 year suspension in that case.

and you're aware they've come to similar positions for other fighters as well, right?

Not really no. What about what they did to Barnett?

lol. what did they do to barnett? have you been reading shertards accounts of the barnett case instead of the actual arbitration report?

as a matter of fact, they used that language with him too.

Kimbo, CM Punk, Toney, Lesnar, definitely not freakshows.

Also Dana White on Justin Bieber vs. Tom Cruise: "Listen, if I can make that fight, I'd be all over that fight. It'd be the biggest pay-per-view in the history of pay-per-view."

lol

That wasn't fixed by the UFC though.
1st, why did ya conveniently "forget" about it?

2nd, prove that Pride´s management, and not cornermen or managers, were behind the suspicious Pride fights.
Only Pride 1 is obviously questionable since they were transitionin from the Pro Wrasslin´world to the MMA one.

3rd, historically, most suspicious fights are the ones occurin´durin´one night tournaments (for obvious reasons), and guess which MMA Org. organized plenty?

Not even close.

A private organization paying fighters what it wants is understandable and completely defendable. An organization that regularly put on WWE type fights, with no drug testing, and had known fixed fights is 100x more shady.

Same question: which fixed fights, besides the obvious Takada ones?

"No drug testing, roiding encouraged"
Thats only fair.
Now you got Costa, Romero vs clean fighters, thats not fair.
Those guys are half natty
Pride though

LMAO at your bias agenda.

UFC:
Has had fixed fights. Fact.
USADA drug testing is shadier than no drug testing. No drug testing is fair.
USADA give Jones a hall pass for life. Yet ban guys like Machida for years for a first offence on lesser substances.
UFC have freakshow fights too. CM Punk fought twice.
And pretty sure the Fertitas had mafia ties too. So all your points are countered lol.
Dana importing snow. Sakakibara would never do such a thing.
