What's the big deal here!
Dana talking about making other matches now when the only other opponents already have scheduled fights. I like Dana most of the time but this is one of the negotiations where it feels like he holds a grudge against Nate. Just pay the man! Conor wants it, UFC wants it. I'm pretty sure everyone here will watch. What do you think?

Fight was dumb in the first place. Conor has a belt and is currently in the middle of one of the most notorious ducks in MMA
 
What's the big deal? Nate already signed a contract, they have a deal that he and his management signed this year.

Now he's trying to reneg on the deal. This is not how you do business. The amount is irrelevant - it's about the PRINCIPLE. the UFC will make an example of him like they did McGregor. You don't agree to the terms of a contract then ask for more money, that's a total scumbag move. The greedy one is Nate Diaz and his management, the UFC is completely just to hold out on their bullshit.

Lmfao, except Diaz agreed to 200. Same way a champ gets paid more once they become champ. Diaz beat their number 1 star so pay him some more and get your big payday.

Yea the whole thing is weird. It seems like all the fans want Conor to defend the belt, and the UFC and Conor are completely ignoring that because they want the Nate fight, and Nate is keeping the fight from happening. It's all getting old quickly.

He signed a deal for UFC 200. That deal was to fight Conor McGregor and that card would have been the biggest of all time. It's a new deal now.

FYI: I hate all of your posts and your lame avatar. You calling Nate and his management scumbugs when Dana is involved is hysterical!

everyone wants that fight except Nate. He now has too much to lose. He's hiking the pay as an excuse not to face McG again

The championship pay bump is written and part of the UFC contract. Holm's management talked about this. It's not some arbitrary stuff the fighter's management simply come up with. UFC lawyers have this covered. Nate Diaz isn't a champion, he stepped up against Conor and that's why they gave him a new Conor money contract, the terms of which he and his management agreed to, and signed. That's a legally binding contract.

The conditions of the fight haven't changed at all, only the dates got delayed by several months. Do you see any champion renegotiating a contract just because a fight got delayed a few months? No, because that makes no sense.

Nate Diaz and his management team is JUST GREED and the UFC is in the right both morally and legally. Nate Diaz has nothing. He could go to court with the UFC and be charged with breach of contract.

You telling me diaz wasn't going to get a ppv cut? UFC 200 will be big as fuck. It makes a huge difference. If you missed that part I can't help you.

Since when did people sign new UFC deals just because the fight got moved from one PPV to another? UFC deals are based on number of fights, champions get injured and moved from one PPV to another all the time, never before have we had champions holding out and renegotiating their contract just because their fight got moved, unless if there's external stuff like movie deals etc. it's a total JUST GREED move with no legal grounds on Nate's part.

It doesn't matter if he was going to get a PPV cut. He has a contract that he signed. If the PPV cut is in the contract, good for him, if not, well he signed it. Just because the fight got moved from one card to another is no grounds for renegotiation. Otherwise the champions still fighting on UFC 200 should all be holding out on their contracts, because Conor is no longer fighting there and the card would do a lot less PPV buys, therefore they should get more base pay. No, that's not how it works.
 
The signed contract was not for 1 fight. Who gives a shit, The rematch is terrible anyways right? Nate fans dont want that and Conor makes big bank either way.

I agree. The rematch is BS anyways. Let Conor fight the winner of the dude he murked and Frankie.
