UFC sold just in time before Fighters Union.

I don't believe the i's are dotted nor the t's crossed on the bill of sale just yet, and depending on where they are, this could be interesting

As long as they don't become a bunch of lazy teamsters

If all the big stars join the union, UFC is fucked. If all the little pee on fighters no one pays to watch joins, they'll all get blacklisted, put on the shelf until contract expires, then cut.

If anything, I would say a union building is because the Fertittas are leaving. They are notoriously anti collective bargaining, and aren't above using dirty tactics to keep them away from their casinos.
Bingo,

This new group even mentioned this in their press release - The Fertittas crush unions.

Why exactly would the top fighters join a union meaning they make less or lower guys make more. And if top guys don't join Union why would they care about the mid tier guys
How do you know big guys would make less? Some football players make 20 million some league minimum. All a union does is extract more for everyone because leverage organized labor can bare on an organization. Like NFL players get 55% of gross NFL revenue which I bet UFC fighters of all stripes would love to see 55%. How it's split is still usually left to the companies.

Better question is how does a union form without employees. These are all independent contractors and not protected by any organized labor laws.

The top guys in the nfl would make a lot more without a union.

is the sale finalized and money deposited? If I were the buyers, I would be bailing out of this dumpster fire. This bitch is dying a slow painful death.

Yup... but is the paperwork done yet?

Either way... the union will have a very slow start & the UFC can strong arm fighters who are in the union to slow it down.

There will be no MMA union. Sorry Feel The Berners.

The union will only gain traction if the big name/big money fighters join.

So long as the UFC keeps them happy, the union won't do squat.

It's the same reason why there's been a boxing union for some time now, but hasn't gone anywhere because the only big name boxer backing them is David Tua.

This will go nowhere. Bigger name fighters will never step down from their multi million fights for the smaller names and the smaller names are always replaceable.

USADA and the Union bringing this fucker down.

Really good time to sell. And that's why the Fertitta's are billionaires and we are not.

It isn't dying but it's a big kick in the balls right now
.
Lol that last line killed me because It's true. It's like a bad date with Julianna Pena.

So now that the PFA has announced its intentions to Unionize the UFC roster. What exactly is going to happen? Health Benefits, pay structure, no more reebok sponsors?

It's obvious the UFC has been able to become a billion dollar business by the blood of the fighters. Now the ball is in the fighters side. What does the future look like for Dana and the UFC?

Man that's harsh. Yuji Shamada gave you a yellow card.

This is a contentious point and many dispute the classification. The contracts they are required to sign have many provisions of an employment contract and are - according to some - unfairly classified as independent contractors.

You can organize in that situation - as I type this, Uber and Lyft drivers are making strides to organize, and are all 1099 contractors. In the state of New York they've already struck a middle ground.

USADA, union, Conors possible second loss. I'd bounce too.

There not the first union or association in mma.

Even with a union though i dont think it would overally change all that much. They already have health insurance, there is only so much money the new comers and middle runners will earn.It will basically just stop all the bs like your fired if u dont sign ur likeness away for free

but thats huge. it may even lead to allowing the fighters to fight with multiple promotions.
