I think you are missing the way the UFC looks at things. It is an opportunity and not a career. Chandler's profile has risen more by being linked to the McGregor fight that won't happen then it would have fighting other fighters in the UFC. If he has been smart he can leverage that to get paid being a Social Media "Influencer". Sadly that is how this "Sport" works.

It's normal that the company takes no responsibility regarding who's waiting for who. Injuries and pull-outs happen.

However, the part that is really messed up is how they arranged a TUF coach match despite Conor not being in the USADA pool.
And throughout 2023 they kept saying Conor would fight - despite Conor not entering the USADA pool until October 11 - and you need to have 3 months in the pool in order to fight.
