UFC said UFC190 was the "biggest" event of the year. They mean PPV sales?

I find weird the lack in question that sentence

UFC already said UFC 189 sold "more than 1 million PPV", and now they are saying UFC190 is the biggest event of the year, that means Ronda sold more than 1 million PPV ????

Dana White itself said not so long ago that Ronda is very very popular, but is not the biggest draw.

This means now Ronda is the biggest draw ?? She sold more than 1 million ? WTF means "biggest event of the year" anyways (PPV, mentions on twitter, media coverage, gate, etc)

Meltzer (who is where most PPV numbers come from) said 190 looks a lot bigger than 189 & last reports 189 was in 800-850k range (less than originally thought)

Yes biggest PPV of the year for UFC so far. Right now Meltzer is saying 189 sold in 800-850k range but that doesnt include UFC.com buys or Australia and few other places who buy PPV. just US/Canada.

190 he said a safe estimate is 900k but that the number is low, probably gonna do around a mill.

So right now looks like 190 is UFC's biggest PPV of the year but I expect Aldo/McGregor to top it in Dec.

When did Dana say Ronda wasn't the biggest draw? That doesn't sound like him at all. Surprised I missed that.

Shocking to learn these researchers thought America was a democracy up until a few decades ago.

Who the biggest draw is keeps changing. Just like who the best P4P fighter is. Demetrius Johnson is now back to being top P4P just in time for the promo for his PPV.

Yeah, that's part of fight promotion. However, I don't think Dana's ever come out and said 'Ronda isn't the biggest draw'. That doesn't even make sense for him to say that about her.

Not surprising. She has been in a movie, she did that cameo in the WWE, TONS of commercials... Plus all the casuals who tuned into UFC 189 wondering what the hype was about and were blown away probably tuned into 190.

Honestly, this should be moe expected.

no they meant for it to be ambiguous.

189 was the biggest event in UFC history, and 190 is the biggest event of the year.
