Is it just me or did the UFC never mention other fighters or organizations until recently? They are advertising fighter accolades for being former Pride champs, showing highlights from Pride and Strikeforce, and mentioning fighters like Fedor. I used to get puzzled as to why they would be so quiet when talking up a fighter and not mentioning a big part of their history or accomplishments.

Is this real or just me?

Big Bro doesn't need to talk about Baby Bro.

They do it with Organizations that are bought out by Zuffa, (Pride, WEC, Strikeforce)

That's because they have the rights for every org they have bought
They use to mention SF and Pride former champions, not former Bellator champions i.e.

I didn't notice if they are mentioning the other orgs they have on Fight Pass though

It seems to me they've always done it. Strike Force, and WEC have been mentioned for years. I believe Pride too. But I can't remember a specific time from the past where Pride was named. Like I do with SF, and WEC.

Well they never used to own Pride, Strikeforce etc. and have such dominating lead over the other orgs. It's easy to give props when you're the one destroying all your competition, far harder to give props to a legit competitor.

They only mention Orgs they bought.

Whic is everyone now except Bellator and small orgs.

Invicta. They showed footage of Cyborg from both Invicta and StrikeForce, and mentioned her being Invicta champ quite a few times.

It may be less common with the Fight Pass footage because most of those organizations are small, and the fighters who come from there usually start buried somewhere on the undercard with little to no hype behind them, so UFC probably doesn't feel the need to mention that they were the champ of Victory FC or whatever. By the time they get some hype behind them, UFC already has footage of them in the Octagon to show.

No they have been doing it for a while now. For many years. And strikeforce was introduced when they bought them out.

Only do it when they buy the organization and own the rights.

Against Lesnar, not only did they announce Reem as the former Strikeforce HW champ, but as the former Dream and K1 champ as well. And that was in like 2010.

They also started referring to fighters as fighters instead of "UFC Superstars"

Yep. Also to some smaller that aren't a threat. I've never heard them mention Bellator and probably never wil.

IIRC, haven't they also referred to Bellator and WSOF before? The mentioning of other orgs is a nice aspect of of the commentary and intros. It's stupid to pretend they are the only MMA promotion, and it gives their words more legitimacy by acknowledging the others.

Zuffa owns a stake in Invicta (which is why its on Fight Pass.) While Rogan will talk sometimes about other organizations, UFC/Zuffa seems to only talk about the ones they bought. They arent talking about Bellator, or Affliction, or King of the Cage, or IFC or M1. Isnt Roy a former IFC champ?

They will show any footage they own from any of the orgs they bought.

I know. I was answering the dude's question about if they mention other organizations (besides Pride and SF) they have on Fight Pass.
