UFC pushing its "stars" too fast

I've always felt the UFC wants to make every single new popular fighter the next gsp/silva/jones tier when in reality they aren't decent fighters. They put the hype in front of the success of the fighters too much lately. The horse (successes) comes before the cart (hype) but the UFC likes to put the cart first or a title least it feels that way

Paige and Sage should be fighting tomato cans and building their records up. They shouldnt have a legit match up until age 24 at a minimum. They are just too young to compete at a high level. This is where boxing has it right.

Age it's not a factor for PVZ. She is not talented and she never was, nobody gave a crap about her in Invicta.
The UFC hype machine lied to the fans and now people are surprised...you do this a couple of time and people will not care for anyone anymore.
Classic zuffa short term strategy that worked wonders years ago but it's now biting them in the ass.

The puroblem is both are wholly mediocre fighters but since they have beach blonde hair and blue eyes UFC keeps pushing and promoting them

theyre not good fighters

seriously Bryan Barberena isnt "high level". Sage just isnt good at MMA
Barbarena looks like a pretty solid gatekeeper to be honest, this is why Sage couldn't go through that gate. <{spoogebab}>

Sage is 20 years old. At 20, Rory was fighting Carlos Condit. At 21, he dominated Nate Diaz. Sage's best UFC win is still Francisco "Who?" Trevino.
You're right, every prospect develops at the exact same rate. Every ufc fighter at the age of 20 was better than sage is now. Thats what you're trying to say, correct?

No he's saying that nobody should be protected because they're a certain age.
If you are so bad that the ufc have to go out of their way to find cans for you, you shouldn't be in the ufc period.

Im sure both are being paid too much to be developed too slowly.

They knew Paige will be gone as soon as she hits a bump. I don't think anyone believes she has a long term future in the sport. The UFC might as well build Michelle up off of Paige's name.

Sage is still young we'll see if he learns from this. His athleticism is undeniable. Is he surround by too many people that are coddling him? It make take breaking away from his dads grip. The last thing he needs to more coddling.

Instead of building them up why don't they just put the effort they put into Sage and Paige into actual established fighters with talent.

Right now they both suck, what's the point of building them up if you don't know if they're going to ever get good.

Putting the promotion into all of the established fighters the UFC has is a much smarter investment. But that won't happen because the UFC are morons.

actually, relative to the division, she is quite athletic. Enough to stay in the top 20, occasionally break into top 10 but never the top 5. A quintessential TAM fighter.

UFC is about to go under within 5 years if it doesn't get more stars fast. They are hurting, fan base is hurting

They have stars. They just aren't pushing the right ones.

Well Sage-Gall was fairly even. Gall has the grappling talent but is very inexperienced and obviously needs to work on his striking. And Paige is in a weird position where she beat more experienced fighters in Bec and Felice but then lost her next step up fights
i think the problem with paige is that she mainly trains during fight camp so she doesn't add techniques\skills . she needs to start training more regulary .

Nah , this is what i like about UFC you go up fast. I dont want to watch them crush tomato cans.
