UFC/Pride Heavyweight Champions with least-to-most Top 10 ranked wins at Heavyweight.

Stipe beat dc x 2 already seals out.

nog has a country mile of a resume as does barnett. Longevity never worked for dc, he came in too late and retired too soon.

Stipe beat a 41 years old Cormier in a close decision

Barnett? are you being serious right now?

Automatic ban. Shoji was awesome. A true warrior.
Nowhere did I say he wasn't awesome, ignoramus. Him being top 10 at HW is what I was incredulous about.

Gono hespekts OG @acannxr but... not Fightmatrix.
Igor was considered top2 P4P back then.

I dont think Fightmatrix is the right tool when you want to assess that transitional era [OW to Div. belts].
If people wanna use it by default, I can dig it, but I see people jumpin´to conclusions without proper understandin´of the context...
FightMatrix is definitively neither perfect or even ideal, but it's the best option if I want it to remain consistent across the board.

and a shit job on being logical or flexible to adjust his own silly rules.
You don't know what logical means and "being flexible" would result in nothing more than my own subjectivity getting inserted into how this list was created.

i also dont see how Frye wasnt a top win for Coleman.
FightMatrix had Frye ranked at #39 at the time.

Why is Mark Kerr not counted?
Because Mark Kerr was never the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

dc would bump up a few notches if you count his strikeforce wins
<23>

I did include his Strikeforce wins, at least the ones that involved top ten ranked fighters.

You laughed and insulted him.

Shoji was ranked #10 in the heavyweight division (down 1 spot from his 9th place ranking in January) when he fought Coleman in 2000. The OP is right. He’s not wrong just because you’re ignorant.

Shamil
Sakai
Alexey

Thats 3 winnable top 10 fights right there. Im a fan boy. I have got to give up. 2012 was so long ago.

Mark Kerr def won the UFC Heavyweight tournament. Multiple times.

Again, this thread has stipe with twice as many top 5 wins as fedor.

Point being, don’t just use stats to try to make a point, as there may be other stats that say the opposite.

But the problem is during that era Fedor was in his prime fighting the top fighters were split between two separate organizations, Pride & UFC. So the fact Fedor has less top 5 wins has more to do with the fact he did not have all of the top 10 heavyweight fighters in Pride. Some of those were in the UFC which made those fights impossible at that time.

How was CroCop better? He’s a one trick pony as well and got KOed cold many times. And those 3 weren’t even true HWs, but bloated MWs or LHWs at best. Yes they fought big guys like Schilt, Zulu or Hong Man Choi, but they had no MMA skills. They got steam rolled when they faced legit well rounded HWs.

Cro Cop was one of the best strikers of his wra and even trained Stipe at one point. Fedor definitely crushed some cans while he also defeated the best heavyweights during his prime too. And speaking of blown up light heavyweights, is that not what Fedor was? If he would have dieted correctly? I think him being undersized made those wins even more impressive.

He's counting all the wins that fit the criteria and is using the same criteria for everyone. If you want to make your own list not based on the criteria set out in the OP then make your own thread.
