UFC have been releasing their PPV numbers tell everyone how well their events are doing, they said that Conor-Dustin did 1.6 million PPVs
They said Usman-Burns did 500 to 600 k PPVs
They said Adesanya -Jan did 800 k + PPVs
For some odd reason they won't release how much UFC 260 did, Stipe- Francis.

I am thinking it bombed and they are embarrassed, maybe under 400 k PPV.
Anyone in the know or has a different view?

They never release the number. People are making estimates and reporting them. Those numbers aren’t official just guesses

Don't they brag about them when it does good?
Dana always talking about this is trending and so on ...

No they almost never release numbers. If theres a huge ppv Dana will sometimes say its trending to be huge but they never release actual numbers

Dana and ufc dont release ppv info. Dana might brag about things from time to time. But the numbers come from journalists who calculate the trends, google searches etc. Dave Meltzer used to be the official source but espn has made things difficult.

PPV estimate used for calculating PPV share is 500k buys – will be updated if official data is released.

That's not horrendous but proves Ngannou isn't a draw despite the UFC trying to hype him up as the MMA equivalent of Tyson. Maybe if he knocks Jones' head off he'll become a ppv star, don't think beating Lewis would give him much of a bump ppv wise.

They give vague ranges. Sometimes Helwani reports rumors he heard from sources. Nothing verifiable. We don’t get numbers due to the ESPN move

If the Heavyweight champion can't do more than Adesanya, the UFC will need Conor and nate a lot longer.

exactly... everyone is just bullshiting.. same thing happend to the tysons fight last year... theres no way that shit sold 1.3mil ppvs

Wonder if they'll partially cave into to Jones and end up giving him say 20 million in the hope he loses and the card gets enough eyeballs to turn big Frank into a ppv draw. Think the guy has a bit part in the next Fast and Furious so it's clear the UFC is going to do a full court press to try and make this guy a star, not sure he achieves it without taking Jones out.

I don't think that is the case. I think the numbers are from people in the know from the PPV providers.

Also the prelims were worst of the year https://www.sherdog.com/news/news/UFC-260-Earns-Lowest-Ratings-of-2021-for-PayPerView-Prelims-178541 so it would make sense the ppv was also low.

This articles is talking about TV ratings which are public and they were bad cause they were going up against the NCAA tournament

ESPN doesn’t have to report numbers. We used to know the numbers when UFC PPVs went through traditional PPV providers but the ESPN deal put an end to that.

The numbers reported may be correct or they could be way off. The point I’m making is that we should at least be skeptical.

PPV buys is how they launder money.

The fact nobody clued into this by now is mind boggling.
