Pretty bad on FX for a regular episode, REALLY bad for a live event. Goes to show you need to make a good card like Bendo/Nate to draw viewers
I imagine it did fairly well in Australia and the UK. Those were the target audiences I think. Still did better than Bellator ever does with a card that was quite a bit worse then Bellator usually puts on.
Yeah, but it beat the Food Channel's 3 AM airing of Diners, Drive Ins & Dives in the key 18-49 demo, which is the main thing we have to look at.
Wouldn't the UK/Australia ratings mean more? a card featuring foreign fighters mostly from a tv show nobody in the US watched, what can you expect?
I personally don't think the average Joe knew enough to watch fx. Bellator on spike will get big in a hurry. Who watches fx anyway?
UFC on FX 5 (Browne vs. Bigfoot) did 1.1 million. This isn't too bad relative to that and taking into consideration that it was a TUF Finale for a TUF that didn't air in the U.S.
MMA is dead. Dana White and the UFC killed it. No legit orgs to push the quality of the cards and the result is shit. There are only 2 or 3 mathups that I will pay to see at this point. MMA=dead simple as that.
TUF Finale does 1.3 million too. So over 2 million viewers for Friday and Saturday which is pretty good.
Not bad for 2 fights with 4 no namers in the USA. The only top 20 guys on the card were Palhares and Lombard.
ufc needs to promote their fx/fuel fights more, I have 2 co workers at my job, they love MMA and follow the UFC pretty regularly and they didn't even know that there were 2 free cards last weekend.
