Anyone else notice this, and should they do something to mark it?

Seattle is home to UFC on Fox 8 on July 27 2013.

Seattle is hometown and resting place of Bruce Lee, who died July 20th 1973.

It this a conscious choice on the part of UFC that ive missed the hype for, and if not, then should something be done to mark the chime with history.

Cung will be on the card.

Dana will wear his Bruce Lee shirt.

Would be awesome if the UFC did a Bruce Lee PRIDE like intro. Flashy, and awesome, with a montage to Bruce for all he has done.

DO IT!

I thought he was born in San Francisco?

A lot of people miss the link to Seattle. Josh Barnett actually tuned me into it on Stone Colds radio show. Sure enough, thats where hes buried and where he came up apparently.

At the age of 18, Lee returned to the United States with $100 in his pocket. After living in San Francisco for several months, he moved to Seattle in 1959, to continue his high school education, where he also worked for Ruby Chow as a live-in waiter at her restaurant.

Chow's husband was a co-worker and friend of Lee's father. Lee's elder brother Peter Lee would also join him in Seattle for a short stay before moving on to Minnesota to attend college. In December 1960, Lee completed his high school education and received his diploma from Edison Technical School (now Seattle Central Community College, located on Capitol Hill, Seattle).

In March 1961, Lee enrolled at the University of Washington, majoring in drama according to the university's alumni association information,[30] not in philosophy as claimed by Lee himself and many others. Lee also studied philosophy, psychology, and various other subjects. It was at the University of Washington that he met his future wife Linda Emery, a fellow student studying to become a teacher, whom he married in August 1964.

Bruce Lee would have torn up the flyweight division. Bruce Lee would have KO'ed Mighty Mouse in the first round

Bruce Lee kills mighty mouse and barao 10x before he hits the ground

It will be a tournament. But only an American female journalist and two government agents will know about it, tho.

And GSP will meet Don Frye on the bus, and later become instant BFFs after a game of Karate Fighter. Don will be beat up by Cung, and drink beer in the hospital.

Yeppers. Been to his grave and the place he used to work out in the basement.

FYI, it was a little over priced and not that great, but that's the Int'l District for you.

The graves on the other hand (his son Brandon is buried next to him) are amazing and there were already flowers there when we visited early in the day.
