Ufc on ESPN 67 underdog pick of the night

Not getting the D Rod love. He's a solid fighter but has little finishing upside. 3 total finishes in the UFC in his career. He's up there in years just like Ponz.

It's not like he can't win, but he's a slight dog and it seems like he's decision or bust. Ponz can win by KO or decision.

If D Rod was like +200 or better? Sure. Current odds? I'd rather play Ponz (or even play small on Ponz KO at around +400). Ponz has shown the power is still there and he's willing to go for it.

You’ve got to remember though that on this thread odds don’t matter, it’s which underdog people expect to win. And at almost coin flip odds, according to the odds D rod is one of the most likely to do so.

surprised by the odds in the loder fight. they know something about bekoev we don't? one fight in the ufc, against a guy named reese? maybe the favorite but -380 seems pretty heavy, esp considering loder isn't doing bad himself.

For sure. I picked Smotherman who's a very slight dog too haha. I was talking more for actual betting

Agreed. Apparently he’s supposed to be the real deal, some hot prospect. But yeah Loder stood out to me immediately because I think he’s pretty good.

Yana Santos for the win.

Meisha Tate is hopeless and should have retired years ago.

I like Meisha to win via grappling. Santos has never seemed like a great counter grappler to me.

That said I'll have my finger on the live bet button for Santos if she stuffs a couple TD's.

The only person he's lost to is a juicejunkie Malykin, RDR is criminally underrated. It's also the first time Bo is going against someone that has a noticeable size advantage over him.
But he has one big problem. His strength is in jujitsu against the best qualified wrestler perhaps ever to join the ufc during their prime. This means Bo gets to choose where the fight is and if he wants RDR to get to do his strength but if he engages it he is a wrestler who knows some jujitsu defence and that generally wins against better jujitsu from the bottom.

It's the match I'm looking most forward to, as I feel that RDR has the balls and forward pressure to force the fight, should be a real fun one IMO

I’m much better at live betting then prefight betting.

I have not picked an underdog winner in a while now, and thus will project that tonight there will be no underdog winners, all the favorites will prevail.
