"Saturday afternoon, the UFC was informed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission that Cain Velasquez is unfit to fight. As a result, the former two-time heavyweight champion has been removed from his Dec. 30 bout against Fabricio Werdum at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC 207, which is headlined by the women's bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey, will proceed with 10 bouts."

    ^^
Seems like Werdum turned down JDS, and Struve, who both offered to fill in.

Wasn't Hunt a short notice fight?

  10. Time for Econoreem to redeem himself.

Bet Werdum wants to erase that loss.

    Yeah of course,fuck Werdum.

The guy was scheduled to fight Cain FOUR times and Velasquez managed to fight only once. This 40 year old fighter should waste everything just to please some fan who is gonna shit on him as soon as he loses.

JDS on 1 week notice is crazy.

I love that Cerrone and McGregor take fights on short notice, but that should be seen as the exception not the rule.

Not surprising after the result he had in the first, but it's a missed opportunity, if he took the fight with JDS and won he would be fighting Miocic in the early part of next year, now he's going to probably have to wait for Cain's return whilst JDS/Struve winner gets Miocic instead.

Oh well, there's always 2017, Cain. The fights aren't gonna fall through themselves, keep up the good work.
