We continue to see a lot of strong even experienced prospects with great records going relatively unknown to the fight masses/casuals. Countless examples, particularly in non US cards.

They should be given the opportunity to cut their teeth against the established stars more often and gain exposure. Instead we get endless rematches and pointless matchups eg Whittaker/Romero, Machida/Belfort etc

Fights like Till/Cerrone or Costa/Hendricks are absolutely a step in the right direction but we need more of it.

Folks say there are so many weak on paper cards because of oversaturation but we haven’t been given the chance to invest in much of the talent on the UFC roster.

Why are guys like James Vick and Alexander Volkanovski allowed to amass records like they have without any promotion?

Cut the BS speculations.

You wanna be a fing matchmaker?

Provide an alternative to each matchup you dislike.
Rule: You give a fighter you eliminated another matchup, more compatible one

Calm down psycho, I’m allowed to speculate it’s the definition of a forum. I’m suggesting the roster has great talent but the relatively unknown fighters shouldn’t have to accumulate ridiculous records before being exposed via larger name fights.

Just scream your head off and act like a wwe wrestler and you'll get the big fights.

Of course you're allowed to speculate.
The only problem is that you don't speculate: you're just whining and have no creativity for blaming others for lack of creativity.

Well Romero vs Whitaker 2 is the only fight that makes sense for that belt. Romero just blasted Rockhold and Whitaker last beat Romero for the interim title in a close 5 rounder, Romero's only loss in UFC. Gastelum got choked out by Weidman (still injured) last year.

So who???

I do understand the frustrations with the rematch obsession, thank his it's toned down a little recently. It's all about how they can promote you at the top. Which is dissapointing when you have legit talent who don't get their time in the sun.
there is this weird bubble with the top ten these days where you have to really shine or do some over the top self promoting to break into it.
I agree though. What really kills things Is these weird triangle situations in the top three where
....fighter A beats fighter B, Fighter B beats fighter C, and Fighter C beats Fighter A.
I don't know why people/matchmakers can't let it go.

I’m not whining or blaming anyone I’m posting an opinion to start a discussion, again the definition of a forum.

Feel free to disagree and explain why (the definition of a discussion) but the way you’ve gone 0-100 and attacked makes you look unhinged.

It’s the same situation with TJ/Garbrandt. I think it would be better for the division and the strength of cards if TJ fought Rivera and Garbrandt fought Moraes instead of a rematch and 2 bluechip but somewhat unknown to casuals fighters taking each other on.

100% agree. I dislike that Cody is getting an immediate rematch, he wasn't a dominate champ and got KOd in his first title defense.
And having Moraes and Rivera fight each other knocks off a contender which I'd be all for if it was a legit title eliminator fight....But those are a thing of the past and now we rely on interim BS and whomever WME feels would look like a good champ.
