Man, I will be surprised if Cub pulls this off, and I hope he does.

His footwork has never been great though, and he's lost several steps. How does he keep Kron off of him?

I dont know if Kron can take Cub down but if he cant, he will pull guard. Then, if Cub's dumb enough to stay in his guard instead of getting up, he deserves to be tapped. Intriguing matchup.

Cub said he has long-considered a professional boxing career post UFC. I'm not saying his boxing is amazing, but it is good no doubt. How is Kron's standup? Not really proven (that I know of). So probably the classic "grappler vs striker" matchup with Cub, in this case, being the striker even though he is a BJJ BB.

I really want Cub to win, I been a fan of him since WEC days, but Cub is very suspect for chokes, I think this is a bad matchup for him. and he has been looking old his last fights and on a bad slide. I want him to win, but I think he may get choked out. I'm rooting for Cub, but I gotta be real he hasn't looked good or finished anyone for a very long time.

Me neither. It's a guess, but can you think of any black belt that has been submitted more in the UFC?

I'm rooting for him. But he's really looked sad the last few years. His last ride was against the Korean super boy, Don Hyun Kim.

Kron wanted this fight, he wanted this earlier before Cub was on the losing streak and before Caceres since he felt Caceres was a step down. He felt like Cub would be a good test since Cub beat Kawajiri who Kron had beaten in Rizin. It's not as compelling now with the losing streak but still a step up for Kron

It depends how Cub looks. If he looks like he's been looking, it might not be much of a step up.

If he returns to form like against Don Hyun Kim, then it should be interesting.

I'm rooting for Cub and hope he could pull an upset. An old desperate fighter is a dangerous one, fights like a wounded animal, fighting and clawing for his last breath.

You see what I see TS. Prime Cub smokes this noob, but in his s current form, he seems tailer made to spring board someone like Kron into the public consciousness.

Someone commented Vitor Belfort and then maybe deleted it?

Poor guy has been submitted twice in a twenty year career and his name was in the discussion for some reason. lol.

Yeah I'm specifically referencing UFC. I'm not talking generally about tomato cans.

I'm sure there are guys on the regional circuit who have been submitted a lot.

Really sucks to be that guy though. Can you think of anyone in the UFC who has been submitted more than Cub? I am really curious if they exist.

I just hope Cub smashes this, it'll be a statement to the UFC because ever since the Ortega fight they've seen this open window of booking these kind of matches for Cub to have his name on their record while building these new stars.

Choi was the last up and comer they booked that was a stand and bang and that fight did more for Choi in loss than this will for Kron in win, Choi's stock went up massively after that fight and he looked a million dollars with the heart he showed and the toughness too, people want to see him fight again after that.

Could Kron be the next great Gracie?
