According to what I saw on Ariel Helwani's MMA Show today, Disney, the parent company that owns ESPN is putting the UFC Live: UFC 246 Preview Show on network television for the first time, on ABC at 2 pm ET on Saturday, presumably since Conor McGregor is a big draw. It's unclear whether this will be a re-broadcast of the regular UFC Live preview show that is usually broadcast at 5:30 pm ET on Friday, the day before the fight card or if it's a separate special on the day of the fight. But I thought it was interesting that they are putting some UFC shoulder programming on free over-the-air network tv for the first time in the ESPN era.
Unfortunately, the local ABC affiliate here in Miami isn't showing this preview show at 2 pm ET on Saturday, but instead are delaying it until 1:30 am on Sunday morning right after the card will surely end. Not much point to watch it then. Sometimes the local network affiliates don't like to run specials in non-prime time slots when they otherwise could run their own programming and local commercials. But maybe in your tv market it might be free on network tv at 2 pm ET like it is in Tampa and other places.
