Also if you look at last paragraph it says Ari is adamant against spinning off/IPO the UFC

He knows the value hes got right now and long term. WME made a great deal in getting the UFC and has leveraged its connections to help the sport too(ESPN Deal) so its mutually beneficial relationship.

If other promotions can pay better fighters will follow the money. On the entry, mid level, u fight cheap. Other promotions offer comparable pay, but UFC brand still top and so is the pay for Champs and contenders. Bellator squandered high pay on subsetting past prime UFC disposed fighters. With a few exceptions like Rory. Another promotion could come along and take market share but so far none getting much traction.
