UFC Legend Lyoto Machida talks about Jon Jones drug issues

Absolutely pissening to hear him talk this way about an honorable, genuine and likable family man

no. athletes are not, and should not, be role models. end of story.

IMO It doesn't matter if they should or should not, not from Machida's speech perspective anyway, the fact is they are (role models) and that makes them bearer of some responsibility, even if it may be (or not) unfair.

Yes they should. MMA is big now. And MMA fighters are warriors, disciplined and honorable athletles [at least they should be]. Every martial art has its philosophy and respect.

This is a sport. And trying to make a role model out of somebody you don't know and situations you'll never be in is retarded

He will be soon or later, his legacy won't be stained. And at least he's not a drug addict.

He'll never be a legend, he had his time in the sun. With or without drugs, Jones > Machida

He'll never be a legend, he had his time in the sun. With or without drugs, Jones > Machida

If you said so. He's not done yet and you'll get the picture when he get inducted in the HOF room later.

Jones without drugs = The same cocky and cheater fighter that everybody dislike (except for Mrs FallonFox)

Jones with drugs = Lame.

Machida lies in bed at night thinking of what Jones did to him in the cage.
