    He was part of management, and he walked away with millions after the WME sale.

    Of course, he's responsible.

    I don't see the problem
    It's a gamble on both sides
    Just because it's a "tough match-up" doesn't mean it an auto-win

    Win = Get paid more
    Lose = Get paid less

    Sounds fair to me

    Dramatic much? The fighters are getting screwed and somebody needs to do something about it.

    According to this article Silva pretty much created Zuffa's business/negotiation practices

    https://bleacherreport.com/articles...tchmaker-joe-silva-leaves-giant-shoes-to-fill

    The very first paragraph:
    Article concludes with:
    Also, the article was from 2016 and I thought this excerpt was interesting in that back in 2016 people probably would've just assumed the manager was full of shit:
    I think Silva had more power than most of us would assume

    Yeah it was kind of a rhetorical question but you pretty much nailed it. The fighters are being screwed and somebody with power has to change it or else it won’t

    I'm also a die hard Colby fan.

    I hope seeing him enduring a hard, painful death. ;)

    I've read many times that Joe Silva is a brutal person and absolute savage.

    UFC's got the monopoly on the MMA game.

    Until other MMA promotions start gaining some traction to get some legit bidding wars going for fighters services, nothing will change.

    It's narcissists and sociopaths at the top of every successful business. They don't give 2 shits about guys getting CTE and other severe injuries to put more money in their pockets, they'll happily bully them in negotiations to leave them with even less money. It's sick people who run this business.

    Me personally, I could not fucking sleep at night knowing I'm only giving a fighter who's suffering brain damage and injurries 12K / 12K while taking the hundreds of thousands of revenue he's generated with his fight.

    Edit: and the fucking Reebok deal too. It's unbelievable, it's just never enough for those fucking slimeballs at the top. They have to go after fighter's money in every aspect and try to fuck them over in new ways. Like do they get off on doing shit like this or something? It's truly sick.

    Horrible.
    I've ALWAYS thought MMA fighters have never gotten their due.

    Basically, the UFC, promotes Dana over everything and sadly holds all the cards. This is why you have unions.

    As for you weak-ass punks dissing fighters looking to get their fair share for literally putting their asses on the line for what they love and what truly entertains and fascinates us; I honestly hope you get a job where you have no voice or rights and when your getting screwed trying to make ends meet, perhaps you'll reflect on what a low life piece of subhuman filth you truly are.

    All haters go fuck yourselves. Remember, ultimately the fighters are why we're here.

    I wonder what would happen if a fighter wanted out of the UFC and forfeited their main card fight at the very start of the first round in order to protest. I don't think the loss would really hurt their popularity that much since everyone would know what happened. It might even get them noticed more and help their popularity for sticking it to the man.

    This is bad enough but I bet there's more.

    Don't call them out because they have no shame (and some of them are on payroll). They'll come even here.

    How fucking stressful would it be to be an MMA fighter? It is without doubt the worst job in all of sports. Not only are you paying training fees, management fees, travel costs etc etc. You have to haggle with these scumbags at every turn. With the type of person that MMA can attract I'm surprised someone hasn't gone crazy and shot up a UFC building or something <45>

    Well you're kinda stupid and your moral compass is weak. Prolly shouldn't be listening to yourself. Keep that in mind when you have these thoughts
