Garbrandt vs Assuncao
Buckley vs Kasanganay
Williams vs Al Hassan
Holland vs Jacare

Buckley likely wins, though Holland could give him a run for his money.

I’m surprised Williams made the cut — spectacular KO but not especially unique. I would have put Jordan Leavitt’s slam of Matt Wiman above it, just off the top of my head. Even O’Malley vs Wineland has a case to be made.

Any other snubs?

Holland gets my nod. To KO someone from that position, is nothing I have ever seen in MMA... Not even considering the fact that it's Jacare... A Jujitsu master.

All were pretty incredible...I think I might give the nod to Cody's right at the buzzer knock out of Assuncao. Shevchenko flat lining that other chick with the head kick was pretty good too..

I think I’d give it to Buckley... It was wild, flashy as any strike, a strike I can’t remember seeing before, straight to the chin and put Kasa out cold.

Holland’s KO was a shocker for sure, but didn’t have that flashiness. More shocking, absolutely!

Buckley in a landslide. Not close IMO. Was an instant social media sensation. Not something you get from an mma fight often.

I agree, Cody's is actually my favorite out of the bunch.

It's not flashy enough is my guess. The ability to KO from there is crazier than Buckley's KO IMO but he likely will win. The only time I sorta saw something like Hollands KO was Uriah Hall on TUF.

Didn’t realize how hurt jacare was from the first strike before he covered up....

this is what i seen as well.
the 1st shot was the ringer. jacare covered up and wanted no more after. yet no replay of the 1st strike like it was not part of the series

came for the kook of the year thread...
left severely disappointed

Would probably give it to Buckley.

Holland comes in at #2

Garbrandt and OMalley are probably tied at #3 for me

Buckley at #1

Holland at a close #2 ....I’ve never seen a guy do that from the guard. Especially against a world champ BJJ artist and former SF champ. Also Jacare has only been KO’d once since 2008 (Whittaker) he’s fought everyone from Jan/Romero/Vitor/Rockhold etc. The fact that Holland KO’d him from there is wildly impressive.
