Before at least it was more like a sport, people had to fight to the top and climb the ladder, now it's just one hype job after another. It's ALL ABOUT hype jobs now.
Ronda, Van Zant, Sage, CM Punk, Conor, Brock.....

Notice how they start recycling these hyp jobs now? just when they're about to run out (since conor lost, and possibly might lose again shortly) they brought back Brock in order to keep some attention and keep the money flowing.

Letting hyped jobs skip fighters in order to protec them and give them an easier route to stardom. Forcing injured fighter and telling media they are not injured in order to give their star an easier job (if aldo agreed to fight injured, their hype job wins, if aldo refuses, they say he is ducking this FANTASTIC new fighter) just bullshit.

One time brock contract with the WWE ? for real? this would've never happened in the past.
In addition, WWE summerslam commercial during UFC event?
===============================================================

Company sold, they could give a fuck about the image now...... it's just use whatever method they can to generate some extra cash. (and hyping fighters up and building an event around it is simply faster, and easer than wait for a true skillful martial artist to emerge)

what a joke

Hendo fighting for the title?... anything is possible from here on out.

bruh I drank mad tequila toeay and I cant read a goddamn tin you write. Fuck up, dumpee. <3>

So fucking true

Its not just the company, fans talk with where they put their monry dollars too. Those people you mentioned sell tickets, of course with help from the hype machine, but you cant just turn anyone into a star. Is Jacare more deserving? Yes. Would I rather see Hendo vs Bisping? Yes.

i liked it when there were no hype jobs. guys like liddel, shamrock, tito and forest griffin just got it done without tv shows or ne hype. they were fer REAL YO

It was always like this.

van zant and sage don't sell tickets YET.
they were just being groomed - they were still packaing them up for the sale.

Sage most definitely does, remember how many threads there were just on his flip?

And PVZ is the star of Dancing with the Stars now.

Both of them are more well known to casuals than people like Jacare or Tony Ferguson.

only the womens division is legit now.

Not sure why Hendo is so surprising,

Faber
Destroyed by Barao
Beat Bruce Leeroy
Eye poked Rivera who was beating ths shits out of him
Beaten by Frankie (but didn't get finished this was his highlight)
Beat Frankie Saenz

Hendo
Beaten by DC
Beaten by Moose
Smashed Boetsch
Smashed by Vitor
Caught Lombard

They aint even trying anymore.

sage is known by hardcore mma fans, he hasn't even had many fights yet. the people that know of him are people that watch mma religiously.

we are just beginning to pay attention to him; that does not mean he brings in tickets RIGHT NOW.

With regards to PVZ, it's like you said, she fought, and was exposed as having not enough skills (though she did show heart) So what did the UFC do with her knowing that they can't sell her as a "BEAUTIFUL GIRL who is an amazing FIGHTER?"

they chose to go another route, they put her in tv shows outside of ufc and use her to attract attentions to the UFC.... in other words, she was no longer groomed to be a fighter, she's now just being used for more attentions to the UFC through other outlets.

Either way, the UFC still benefits, and PVZ also gains some fame as well, who knows, she could use the opportunity and start a whole different career if she has the charisma in show business.

like any business, if you purchased something hoping that you could make it a popular product, but it fails the first time around.... what do you do with the leftover products in the inventory?

you think of new ways to use it so it's not just wasted money laying around. (as bad as that sounds when describing a person)

chances are, if she was ever offered an opportunity by hollywood through her sting on "dancing with the stars" she won't be back fighting anymore.

Bravo

We've seen this happening for the last few years, clear indication that they were going to sell

One good usually fight per PPV over the past few years has proved this. They been doing it since after UFC 100.
