Thing is, UFC doesn´t need Jones as much as Jones thinks to pay him 20 000 000, but they can´t cut him since he is still a big draw and if Bellator takes him, he would roid up again and be invicible. That´s when the real UFC-Bellator competetion would start.
At another part UFC realize´s now they have knockout machine champion like they always wanted.
He can fight often and always delivers exciting matches, but if he would beat Jones he would be much bigger.
If Ngannou Jones fight ever happens, UFC will pray for Jones loose, since if they pay him so crazy amount of money and he beats Frank, its gonna be disaster for UFC, that would provide Jones enormous power, Ngannou star would went out and Jones would be able to negotiate crazy money from UFC so he would fight again.

They can absolutely cut a declining Jones, declining especially thanks being unable to inject himself full of drugs. Jones loses soon. As soon as he does, Dana cuts him or crew it, let him lose in Bellator. No biggie.

UFC always wins. Even when they "lose" they win.
What about Jones wins, then retire?

In Bellator he would juice up, some fighters like Jones profit much more from juicing.

Exactly, at this point Dana will go "Bellator has no credible drug testing policy and the Governor should absolutely get involved before they kill the sport" and open up a whole heap of legislation and litigation on Scott Coker.

This is an uphill battle for Jon. He doesn't have a belt, he's not even in a weight class, hasn't fought in over a year. He's not the big draw he thinks he is, hasn't been exciting in the cage for a long time, no charisma, multiple failed drug tests, multiple suspensions...

In other words he has no levarage.

UFC will win.

They don't really need Jon that much. He was useful but with the rise of Ngannou and *maybe* the future continued rise of Khamzat, and other prominent fighters, I really don't see the UFC as being that bothered about Jon Jones. He has been fighting a long time, and there's always trouble with him : negotiations, trouble outside the cage.

I just do not think that the UFC are going to bend that far to accommodate Jon Jones' demand and ego and I doubt they reach an agreement.
I can see this reaching a total stalemate where Jones isn't fighting *anyone* but UFC won't release him from his contract.

bellator wouldn't even be able to pay him near as much as UFC does

UFC will always "win" at least for the foreseeable future, regardless if Jon gets paid what's he's asking, lower or not at all.

Just really want to know Jons reasoning (if) he's looking for so much guaranteed for showing. Does he not think it will sell? Either way, if this fight gets made it's 99% -his last fight

Ufc wins every time.

Jon either shuts up and takes less pay than he wants or he leaves and the ufc paints him out to be a whiner and starts gaslighting his whole career, changing their stance on his ped use, replaying videos of his last close title defenses at lhw and shifting the narrative to "Jon was never that good, just lucky" and in so doing they get a nice clean exit of their previous lhw champion and can start hyping up the current champ, claiming the new lhw champ could easily beat the steroid-abusing, close-decision-winning crybaby Jones.

They hold all the cards abd they are ruthless with their spin jobs.

UFC will book Lewis next and over the next 6-12 months of not getting paid any, Jon will come down and accept like 5 million.

Jones shouldn't have been peacocking all over social media about HW before finding out if Stipe lost to Francis.

I said 10 mil was the perfect number to call Jones bluff. It's more than enough to make him look like a duck.

I hope they dont pay him and he retires. Imagine saying 10 mil is too low. Guy thinks he's bigger than Mcgregor

Jones will succeed in price himself out of the fight.

That doesn´t matter. They would pay him enough and he would fight far worse competetion while Juiced up. Thing with Jones is, he want´s as much money as possible, because he knows he can easily loose.

Did you feel this way when it came to McGregor? If so then ok I hear you but if not realize Conor started this crap and jones is just following through on it. the UFC can choose to cut him and Bellator will pay him well to fight there. He can crush those guys and earn his paychecks. People want to bash other divisions/leagues but a AAA player still gets paid to play, maybe Jones is cool with that.

I was convinced that Jon would fight Ngannou next. Not anymore, though. The ufc won’t bend over for Jon, not happening. And they won’t release him.

You won’t win the battle against the ufc being a fighter. They can easily put you on hold until you leave your prime and then pit you against a younger beast to fire your ass later on.
