UFC is like friend that never keeps his word.

Fights get cancelled from the second their announced (Khabib/Cerrone), to the second before fight time (Struve/Mitrione).

You can tell who wasn't around for 2012 in threads like these

Agreed. There hasnt really been any fights canceled recently that I wanted to see due to injury. Robbie v Brown happened, Conor happened, Rousey, Hendricks vs Lawler, Cerrone happened, Stephens vs Cub... I'm happy.

So how many of your "friends" who don't keep their word are doing so because of an injury beyond their control?

Yes that is not a solution to shit @ 7 weeks out. But I got the feeling most bad shit happeneds near the end. And at least we have time to recover now.

What should UFC do? I dont know. I can tell you what they Are doing however and thats fucking GUS in the ass.

Gus is young, he'll have another chance. Cormier needs the shot more than Gus, who knows how much dan has left in his tank whereas gus hasnt even hit his prime yet

Good rant. I like it.

Sounds very genuine and real. The complete opposite of Jon Jones.

8/10

To be fair though, it's not really their fault when a fighter pulls out. What would you suggest they do better in the future?

I can't think of any good solutions...

It's just the way things go sometimes. I hate it too, but what's there to be done about it?

They need backup plans, guys waiting in the wings, alternate fighters to fill in for injured ones. They should even pay these guys between fights so they can stay in fight shape and be ready to go at a moment's notice. Injury cancellations have become a big problem for the UFC, they need to start taking it seriously with a serious plan of action.

This. If my friend gave me her word to pitch of our softball team, but then badly rolled her ankle, I would not hold that against her. If I did, I would be the unreasonable party. Shit happens.

The 10 part is made up though. I dont have 10 friends.

everything else is legit doe.

Most people are lucky to have 3 real friends. The rest are facebook friends and people who wouldn't lift a finger to help you move, hide dead bodies, lend money, be a shoulder to cry on, not be judgmental, stage an intervention for you, etc.

having a girl on any sort of team is your first misstake

There is a simple solution for the UFC, get better fans, less CarbonIsotopes.

What if your friend routinely did dumb shit like this that made it likely that she would get injured? Then would it be her fault or yours (for trusting in her)?

Yep.

Yep, I remember the year Kellen Winslow sat out after hurting his knee doing tricks on his motorcycle. Pretty much everyone thought he was an unreliable asshole at that point.

I fail to see the relevance unless you think Jones was being reckless in his training (or Hendo prior to the cancellation of 151, etc). MMA training prior to an MMA bout does not really qualify as doing dumb shit in my book.

And It's starting to get Really fucking annoying and frustrating.

From now on. I will not look foward to a fight until the actual fight night. And even then I won't Fully commit until I see the person doing their walk-in since they be slippin' in saunas and shit and tearing acl's during warmup.

Im sick of being left weeping in the shower dissapointed.

Im sick of inviting 10 friends only to have to call them up and cancel because "Jones legs are too fragile"

Im sick of during that last Hard 30 min at work thinking to myself that soon I can go home and the Big fight is getting closer.

Now once again that is pulled from my grasps.

And tomorrow it another day and work and yet Im left without the big fight. All this happiness ripped away. ....once again.

I Hate mma. HATE it.

But also love it.

It's like that bitch you finally dumped because even though the sex was awesome it wasn't worth it in the end.

But you can't dump UFC. You just can't.

We men can't relate to giving birth or being raped. But man, this is probably close.

Spoken like a true 13 year old. Don't worry some people go through puberty later in life.

I hope this is not true. Kids today...

I am sure I could count on at least a dozen folks to help me hide a body. The little bitches would probably be all judgmental about it though, which may be what you are referring to.
