They must have offered him 2 fights this year. 2 bout agreements.

GSPs lawyer was all over that. They have been offering the Diaz brothers two fights a year every year even when they didn’t fight. Otherwise he’s released from his contract.

Update October 18, 2016ESPN reports that GSP’s position is that “UFC breached (his) contract by not offering him a fight” indicating that GSP has been looking for a return bout since February.

When Zuffa was given a “10 day deadline” by GSP’s team to offer a bout they replied with “a “letter” that referenced a potential bout against former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler” but no other details such as date, venue , number of rounds etc.

I heard it's 3 fights but not sure how stars get treated

Conor probably has a completely different contract to the standard contract.

conor refused tony and gaethje.

despite conor being retired, he was already offered two fights this year.

I don't understand where this thread is going. Are we doubting that the UFC wants to put Connor on fight cards?

I'm sure he gets offered a fight at least once or twice a month.

I so don’t want to get dragged into another discussion on it, but I read the UFC contract details posted after Eddie Alvarez defected from Bellator and I remember a clause that said if you turn down a fight, the UFC is granted an automatic extension in terms of how long they have to offer you another fight. So yes they have to offer you 3 fights a year, but if they offer you your first fight in July and you turn it down, it sounds like they wouldn’t have to offer you another until the following year. I’m positive this is selectively enforced but it’s in the contract. The dirty trick fighters have complained about is the UFC will offer you a fight when they know you’re injured and have to turn it down. Some fighters went so far as to say the UFC made a habit of doing this immediately after a fight when they KNOW the fighters has sustained an injury.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the other dirty tactic fighters have accused the UFC of in order to capitalize on this clause. They have said that the UFC routinely offers fights that make zero sense in order to evoke the clause when the fighter turns down the fight. For example I’m ranked number 5 and they offer me an unranked unheralded nobody.
