Opening rounds are really mediocre in this tournament. It'll head up into he 2nd round but I've been trying to catch the key fighters matches.

It has to be said the Taiyelke Nueraji fight fucking ruled though. Instantly became one of my favourite fighters lol.



Hespect to Han Seul Kim for making it a great fight too.

I just saw the Sumit Kumar fight...wow, didn't improve striking in 2 years at all despite training at Tiger and Alphamale. Awful. Lee and Kumar disappointed me a ton, Tsuruya showed up how I expected. Shin Haraguchi tonight is a guy I'm keeping my eye on and Kamikubo.

Kumar was fucking awful lol. He throws punches like he's trying to hit a mole that's just come out of the canvas or something.

I didn't think Lee was dissapointing. He's only 20 and I thought he was compeitive with Climaco.

There's too many 20-22 year olds that look worlds apart from Lee at Flyweight for me to find that much of an excuse, maybe he will learn from this and develop with age but yeah...I was disappointed. He was competitive with Climaco but both disappointed me. Lee has too many issues right now, he's visibly undersized, fight IQ seemed bad and he can't bust a grape, the body connectivity in his strikes is really beginnerish.

Kumar was so bad its insane. For as athletic as he is and having lived in the US and Thailand training for the last two years I was really shocked.

Agree for the most part, but I think there's a huge difference between 20 and 22.

There can be, often times there is and often times there is and sometimes not a ton, it varies. But some of the guys are literally 20 too that I'm talking about like Tsuruya, Igor Da Silva, Sanzhar Zakirov are 20 off the top of my head and they'd be bad news for him. Daniyar is 21, Mokaev 22, Lucas Rocha 22. Lee has time, we will see. Climaco vs Tsuruya will tell us a lot also.

Tbf Igor and Rei look like future contender material. Lucas Rocha I watched last night and I think him Vs Lee would be close.

Daniyar and Sanzhar look as good to me as Rei and Igor so far. We will see, Rocha is also a guy who would be better served at 115lbs like Lee, maybe even 105lbs. They're pretty fucking small when you look at your Nascimentos and Ulanbekovs. A lot happens between 18-25 though, people don't grow at the same rates some plateau while others spike and then it can flip and flop.
 
Awful events, featuring Asian fighters who will 9/10 go 0-2 and be cut. Not surprising nobody is interested.

Yeah, definitely some good talent. A lot of medium guys who have no real potential, but Kamikubo is very interesting and Xiao Long vs Nose is a solid scrap, I'm rooting for Nose here.
