Mark "The Hammer" Coleman Officially Retires

After years of wondering whether or not he'd fight again, Mark "The Hammer" Coleman has decided to officially call it quits. It looks like he is getting a total hip replacement according to his Facebook page. To be honest, I never thought he'd fight again anyways..was always a fun fighter to watch though...

Reminded me of this video of him flipping out after losing to Fedor:

Coleman is an absolute legend. He deserves a great deal of respect. His PRIDE win, where he's falling over the ropes, hopping up and down is one of my favorite moments. He even beat Bonnar when he was way beyond his expiration date.

What happened to him fighting Shammy? Would have been fun seeing him TKO Ken.
Anyways, long live the heavybag on Coleman's porch.

I will never forget him bringing his kids into the ring after he lost to Fedor.

Coleman is a legend in this sport, he was giving top dudes absolute fits just a few years ago, well past his prime.

You have to respect what Mark Coleman did for this sport and what he accomplished in his career.

Thank you Mr. Coleman

Got to meet him and BJ Penn at a Walmart in Toronto on the same day as UFC 129. He's a legend and pioneer.

The Godfather of ground and pound is calling it quits? Take it easy Coleman.

Sad to see one of the greats hang em' up. Wish him all the best.

i don't blame him, he got destroyed by that shinichi sumo wrestler guy

He was a scary dude in his day. I hope Dana gave him a decent retirement gift.
