UFC Gyms are set for a major expansion after the chain completed the acquisition of the fitness franchise LA Boxing.

The deal was confirmed to MMA Fighting on Monday by UFC Gym's senior vice president Adam Sedlack after UFC president Dana White alluded to it during remarks at the New Media Expo in Las Vegas.

promotional materials, it is the world's largest boxing, kickboxing and martial arts gym franchise.

Get outa here. I used to go there and a bunch of us left because the "fight team" was a total joke.

As long as them don't put a trademark on fighting.

Soon people arrested for fighting on the street will face addtional charges... from the UFC

Great, now all the soccer moms that learn how to "fight" at the shitty LA Boxing franchise near me can now train UFC.

80+ Franchises in 20+ States. That is a huge deal.

When people wonder why the UFC doesn't pay stupid amounts of money to low level fighters who aren't even real draws, this is why. The UFC is taking over the world and building a brand bigger than the sport itself, to legitimately rival other big name sports.

Dude....
like the mma bible (read: Never Back Down) says: That boxing stuff just doesn't cut it anymore.

Y'know, its like that phrase: "Joe, its a passing of the guard ..."

Get well soon Gold.

Hah they just opened an LA Boxing 5min from my house, I will steer clear from it for a bit to avoid hordes of tapout bros

So what you're saying is...there's going to be thousands of frustrated moms taking an interest in MMA in the next few years? Ones that might appreciate being shown proper RNC techniques?

Struggling to see the downside here. :icon_chee

Soon Dana will buy the rest of boxing too. Arum and Dibella will be feeding him grapes while King massages his feet.

They've been fooled into believing that taking a couple of LA Boxing's cardio kickboxing classes will help them protect themselves from an attacker. I don't think the "Kickass Kickboxing" classes at the UFC Gym will be significantly better.
