UFC giving TUF 24 winner Flyweight title shot

This seems to be a desperate last stand to make the flyweight division interesting. I haven't watched TUF in about 2 years because it's the same recycled show with different fighters. I might catch this one too get a glimpse of who they have for FW.

If this doesn't pan out, I think the UFC needs to dissolve 125. I feel bad for DJ but he would be just fine at 135 too. Thoughts ??

I think a lot of you are assuming this season will be full of cans. It won't be if the UFC does it right, and since the winner is fighting for the belt, I'm inclined to believe they will sign the best talent out there.

I don't think it's a pre-cursor of a dismantling, however, more of just them running out of opponents for a dominant champion
Happened in season 4 didn't mean they were looking to get rid of the WW or MW divisors, they just didn't feel they had enough high end talent to make anything but constant rematches
Also consider that Dana would look like a tool for scrapping the division so soon, boxing keeps it's small divisions even with few strong contenders, and, the women's divisions are weaker then flyweight currently and theyre not getting fired anytime soon
Lastly, nearly 50% of actual TUF winners (not that Brazil only shit) are legit ufc contenders still or still are, number might actually be a bit over, point is, lots of legit talent comes from the show

I'm not saying I agree with the decision, but, don't go conspiracy theorist over it lol. Litetally just looking for sone new talent nothing new

Dissolving FLW seems like a really stupid idea, and I very much doubt they will do that.

It would be stupid to dissolve it, you'd just be getting the same fights in 135 and you'd lose the marquee of a fight for the belt. It'll never be headlining material for many, but it's appreciated by many hardcore fight fans and despite a dominate champ i wouldn't call it a weak division.
