I took Fig heavy at -150. I've never been very high on Chito.

Leaning Loopy over Dern via boxing decision, but haven't bet it yet. Would like to hear thoughts on that one.

I'm gonna take a stab at Michal by KO when I get the line, fuck it. Shara has not looked impressive, got tagged a bit against Trocoli and Michal is always live in a striking match.

I also like Figgy to win. I bet him at -145 two months ago. 3 rounds favors Figgy more than Chito for multiple reasons.

I also like Loopy over Dern. I'd rather bet Loopy by decision if it's much better than her money line because she can't submit Dern, and Dern has a good chin and Loopy doesn't have big power and won't even follow Dern to the ground if she does drop her.

I like Dudakova over Hughes at -157. She had a major staph infection in her butt against Frey, and passed out while making weight. Her manager described her as being "at 25%" when she beat Frey. I think Hughes is an easier match-up skill-wise than Frey, who was able to challenge Dudakova with her wrestling. Hughes has no wrestling, and is a less technical striker than Frey. The only difference I see in Hughes' favour is that she's bigger than Frey.

  • I thought she had staph infection on her cooter?
  • Hughes is not an easier matchup than Frey. Hughes is more well-rounded and has better cardio.
  • Hughes does have wrestling. She has taken down every opponent who she has beaten in the UFC.
  • Hughes is also 7 years younger than Frey.

Hughes attacks in rushes and struggles in regular exchanges where she's not rushing forward. Saying that Hughes takes down the fighters she beats is another way of saying that she loses to fighters that she can't take down. TBH, I didn't realize that Frey was so old. Pumping the brakes for now.

Even if you buy the hype on Umar (and I kinda do, even though he hasn't beaten anyone of note yet)...+260 on Sandhagen is ridiculous. I had to play it, dude is a legit top 5 guy in the world. Tough as nails, great cardio and pace, good grappler.
If Umar runs through Corey, so be it. I just don't see it. Corey is a helluva tough out for anyone. And as good as Umar has looked, he didn't finish a short notice guy making his debut in Almakhan (who to be fair I think is probably pretty good and will stick in the UFC). And Umar has no experience at all going past 3 rounds.

A hyped uber prospect with this last name is why these odds are so wide. Umar -160 to -180, okay. I can maybe see that. Current odds? I'm betting Corey with no hesitation.

Yea i see it as 50/50 at worst. Umar still unproven

This is a weird one for me, but I think I'm gonna be on the dogs for the top three.

Sandhagen is ridiculously good, and those odds are kinda forcing my hand. He's more proven than Umar and is looking in top form. Nothing about that suggests to me that he should be that much of an underdog.

Chito struggled and got some losses recently, but it was against Sandhagen and O'Malley. Two of, if not the, most talented guys in the division. And he still made it to the score cards. I think his size and power become a difference maker and if it's a three rounder his output might be upped as well. My logic was "if both of these guys collide with each other, which one goes down?" and I keep picturing Fig going down. I might change up my bets when I see them next to each other at the weigh ins.

Michal is far more proven than Shara, and it kinda has a "this is a reality check" fight for one of them.

In all three matchups I can see a scenario where either fighter can pull off the win, but at those odds I think I'm going with the dogs.

Dumas under 1.5 plus odds seems like a decent play. the grappling edge is pretty wide. I expect Dumas to take his back like he did Brundage who is a decent grappler. Submission prop could be juicy too cause Dumas rarely uses them but does have in his arsenal a rear naked choke or guilotine.

I also like Jai , i think his speed advantage and ability to fight long will stifle Bedoya who throws high volume but is easily hittable. Don't see him catching or finishing Jai, let alone really being able to tag him.

I don't think Bedoya has a good chance of finishing Jai but I'm not confident that Jai will handle being pressured like Bedoya will do. Bedoya is reckless at times so opportunity for a big shot on a counter will be there for Jai, but I wonder if he's got it in him to win a super high volume striking match vs an opponent who won't let him sit at distance and pick and choose his shots. Probably a pass.

Maybe he'll win, I don't know. But I don't know why you'd think his output might increase because it's a three rounder. He's known for slow starts, and he's had plenty of three rounders in the mix. Size and power difference makers? Maybe. But 4 of last 6 are decisions and his two stoppage wins were against old men.

Fig is 36 fwiw

Jai will likely style on him. he’s relatively faster and more powerful. thought he would have beaten Klein had he not fouled.

I think Bedoya is missing some criteria’s needed to beat Jai.

Speed and length of Fiam
Power punching of Tuporia and Trinaldo
The overall experience difference with Trinaldo who was more refined.

Bedoya is younger at 28 and improving.
but it’s a big leap to go from losing to Kenan to beating Jai who has solid kicks , high and low and a good solid straight. If he can borderline beat Klein , he can beat Bedoya.

I would say Bedoya is slightly more durable but not enough to not get caught and dropped, or finished.

Given too . Jai has better training partners.

That's 3 years younger than Frankie, and 1 year younger than Cruz when they fought Chito. Marlon didn't overwhelm either, he caught them late and I don't know if that's something to count on vs a guy who has never been stopped with strikes (unless you count a doctor's stoppage).

Also think Fig will lean on his grappling to get some control time, which is something Chito has been weak to in the past.

Maybe. I've never been super impressed with Jai. He's alright, but nothing special imo. Bedoya is just okay too. Pass for me.

His first round vs Tuporia was impressive.

I dont think you need to be special to beat Bedoya. Nothing special about Kenan . And williams is a heavy hitter with loopy punches but his defense sucks.

Jai is a technical striker like Mvp, his biggest plague is an average chin. But certain Bedoya will need a ko or bust. Otherwise he gets pointed
