In hindsight, it was absolutely the right decision to put Conor on free TV in Boston before giving him the title shot. There was talk before the Siver fight to just go ahead and put him against Aldo but this show made him a superstar.

A lot of casual fans watched and now they know the name. That performance was good for at least 200k extra casual buys on PPV.
