UFC Fight Night 29: Demian Maia vs. Jake Shields PBP (Discussion)

It's awkward and painful to even watch Shields walk.

Maia gonna be a pirate this halloween after Jake finishes poking the shit outta his eye. War Shields!!!
 
I'm not going to lie, five rounds makes me nervous for Maia.

Was this the original Main Event? I can't believe they matched up Maia vs. Shields for five fucking rounds. The disaster potential is astronomical.

Anyhow, I think Maia is better pretty much everywhere.
I give Jake the edge in cardio and his jab (it doesn't hurt but it is more effective then he gets credit for).

I picked Maia by TKO.
Decision is more likely.
 
Shields looks way too anxious. He over-thinks things.
 
We rarely get these kind of matchups, should be a good one.
 
I like it. Haven't heard Seven Nation Army in awhile. I remember when it first came out.
 
Shields has a striking resemblance to Ace Franklin, from the side
 
War Shields. I like Maia and want to see him get his shot at the title though, hmm.
