Edit: had to edit title so Dick Riders get the point.

He's pulled out like 5 times already. He was headlining that Manila card and had to pull out and the event got cancelled.

He's headlining again in Arizona vs Yair. If he pulls out again, then what? Knock on wood but everytime they run into issues it's their fault.

Are there a bunch of chimps at work @ UFC headquarters? How hard is it to do match making? I can do their job better sitting in my fuckin toilet.

Better get that application in, then.

Because we've heard of him.

Maybe you haven't noticed, but the UFC isn't exactly flush with stars these days.

BJ sells to us old schoolers

Sitting on your toilet can you handle the "I should get paid more then I signed and agreed too earlier" bullshit from 12 fighters every card?

We now have random female fighters headlining cards....Why not a legend like BJ?

Sherdog black belts are like kinda like Sherdog whotebelts sometimes.

Someday some punk kid will be asking why Conor is headlining a card...

Cause it would be something like Tecia Torres vs Carla Esparza if it wanst BJ vs Yair

BJ is still a well-known name and they know he'll pull in good numbers on free TV.

Plus, if Yair wins, now he becomes a lot easier to market.

But if BJ gets injured again and pulls out I don't think they'll book him again.

BJ is headlining a card because the UFC has no one else for their weekly cards. If they were doing events monthly or even every other week, BJ would not headline.

BJ is headlining for the same you aren't. He's motherfucking BJ Penn and you're a Sherdogger.

But if you can present evidence of ability to fight on your tippy toes, jump out of pools, lap the blood of strange men, can RNC a bitch, or simply convince me you're motivated as fuck... we'll talk to Dana about getting you a card.

So next you're suggesting Cain headline with a PPV with a bunch of no name Latin fighters?

I think 9/10 Sherdoggers didn't read my reasoning and thought I'm hating on BJ because of title

I like the card as a UFC fight pass. Before Caraway got hurt. I thought it had some good fights.

But as for BJ headlining a card. It's the same month Tito and Sonnen are headlining Bellator. I would rather watch Bj and Rodriguez any day.

How come everybody thinks matchmaking is easy? Look at the fights coming ahead. It's hard to get someone to agree on a fight. That's not injured or hasn't just fought. Not to mention pass a drug test. Especially these days everybody is using "I only want money fights" as an excuse. It's super hard to schedule an event with a city and venue. Then to get the fighters to agree on that date in time to sell the fight. If it was easy the UFC wouldn't of bought all its serious competitors with ease.
