The point of askren is his trash talk him fighting perry or till would of really hyped ppl on him now he’s just gonna dominate lawler but lose steam
 
bro the guy just got signed and got a fight in two months against a legit top WW, come on be grateful Till will come sooner or later
 
They are setting him up to get KTFO one and done
 
Mann I was hoping they feed him to Khabib for LW-title fight but Askren himself will never accept this fight as his first UFC fight
 
Poor lawler cant catch a break. Time to retire because i dont see any top 5 wins in his future.
 
Nope... beating a former champion and a name the casuals know will raise his stock. FYI... most don't even know who Ben is. Then let the games begin with the trash talk vs Covington.

I dig ruthless and have for years and years.

I fear askren is going to take Robbie down and lay on him for the duration of the fight. I suspect it will only be 3 rounds.

Robbie is the embodiment of the warrior spirit, but his career is nearing its conclusion.

I hate this fight for Robbie. He only has X number of fights left. I’m not saying he should fight cans, but reward him for his blood and sweat and reward the fans by having him fight someone that will be justvas entertaining.

Askren will try to lay on him and do little else.
 
I'm gonna let u in on a little secret the UFC (Dana) doesn't want Askren to succeed...

Well I know what you're saying but some of us fans prefer interesting match ups and don't give a fuck about trash talk and hype.
 
If he beats Robbie Lawler he doesn't lose steam, he shows how elite he really is

He won't accept the fight at any time because he already said he's never going to make 155 pounds. He said he'd like to fight Khabib at 165, but he can't go lower than that.

A possibility but you can't be sure
Wrestling in MMA probably seems like the most important base, I mean whenever a striker versus a wrestler, you just get the inevitable feeling that the wrestler will take him down and shut his game plan down.

One way of looking at it which was described in the Gracie Breakdown by Rener is that it is supposedly easier to grab a hold of any of your limbs and take you down then it is for a striker to hit the chin which is a small area that can be protected.

It all comes down to who has better wrestling, and I feel like Askren can take him down, you can't just sprawl those types of wrestler, they chain things together
 
I don't care about trash talk. Lawler/Askren is an amazing matchup
 
Wrestle humping Lawler will just make him angry
 
This fight is way better than thompson or till ..

Lawler has great tdd defense and can drop bombs !!

I have never bought that from him not even a second. His not a big guy. I think his ducking people at the LW-division. His a short guy who has a LW-frame
