UFC doesn't think Burns KDed Usman.

Probably the same criteria as a downed opponent; when any part of the body other than the soles of the feet and one hand touch the mat. I seem to recall Usman caught himself with one hand. May need a rewatch. Cue the gif.

Did he though? I mean for sure Burns rocked him in the first but I don't think Usman actually went down afair.

EDIT: thanks @Masturbin for posting the gif below altough it instantly proved me wrong. Both hands on the mat, that's definitely a downed opponent.

In boxing that would’ve been a KD.
In Boxing only 1 glove needs to graze the mat (hence the Mayweather/ Mosley "was it or wasn't it" controversy). Both hands flat on the mat like this qualifys as a KD under any rules, especially since the UFC credits Sonnen with a KD over Silva when Andersons glove barely touched the mat.

Nurmagomedov did not KD McGregor, either, according to UFC.

anderson got knocked down twice by Chael

got properly sat down on His ass by Bisping

Both hands, and one knee touched the ground. I don't see how this isn't a knockdown.
Can't really tell if the knee actually touches in that GIF but 2 hands flat on the mat is a knockdown under any criteria.

Without the 2 hands to regain his balance he would have face planted, how this is even debatable is beyond me, lol.

Really? Hard to argue falling on your ass doesn't qualify as a KD, lol.

Conor had one hand and one knee touching the ground, so it's similar to this situation but Conor had to spend more time regaining his balance as he had backwards momentum while Usman fell forward.

I have no issues seeing both as knockdowns though.
