Felice Herrig didn't come close to winning a round against Karolina Kowalkiewicz, and there's no world in which she won 2 rounds.

don't care and didn't watch.
leave wmma out of mma

I thought she arguably won the last round. Felice's punches looked like the only ones doing even a little bit of damage throughout the fight as well.

It's recurring issue with WMMA, judges are sometimes lazy and would rather wait for a knock down or someone getting clearly rocked than to keep an accurate look at the striking. That's why we end up with weird scoring like that during stand-up fights with nobody getting visibly hurt.

EDIT : the worst was still when Holm was awarded several rounds while getting thrashed by Cyborg.

I want to see BJ Penn vs Joe Lauzon at 155, retirement fight for both

First off, I agree but at the end of day KK won so no ado

Is it just me or has the judging gotten WORSE recently?

wmma for what i care judges can rock paper scissors the decisions and hit that shit right almost all time

Definitely I thought the right person won & was surprised at the split decision but I though Felice won a round & its not like Kowalkiewicz was SO dominant in the other two rounds that it's not possible seeing it from a different angle a judge could have seen another round differently.

As sais above though it does appear judging is getting worse & not sure how the new rules giving these idiots the power to randomly assign 10.8 rounds more freely will help the situation.

You would think over time Judging would get better but looking at Boxing, who for some reason have the same people judging and has been around for ages i just feel it wont get better. I dont understand how such a great job is filled by such idiots like Adelayde Bird or Cecil Peoples, how many people would love to do that job who also have a understanding of the Sport, they could use retired fighters that would plus give them a job afterwards, i dont get it.

The problem is the athletic commissions are involved, and they are a complete racket/good ole boys club. Until the rampant corruption is removed from those groups, we wont get better judges. You also cant really have retired fighters really, too many past affiliation creating biases, as well as stylistic biases based on their own style(wrestler is going to score good wrestling higher and probably not score good jitz as high, ect.)

I can see Felice winning a round, to be honest she landed some good shots and hurt Karolina in the 3rd round.

But winning 2 rounds? No chance.

Felice fought a good fight, just had some bad fight IQ at moments

She didn't mix it up as much as she should
