Not a huge deal but... I noticed Askren in Belchers corner last night, has this happened before in the past with any champions? Did Dana make any mention of it?

Is that why that fight was so boring?

Surprised that he was cornering Belcher. Okami was the one who looked like he was following Askren's directions.

It wasn't Askrens fault that Belcher fought so poorly.

Askren: Oh, and don't go for chokes anymore!
    [20 seconds later]
    [Belcher drops for a guillotine]

Yes it's common, I've seen both Edgar and Jorgensen corner guys in Bellator.

I like seeing UFC fighters in bellator corners and vice versa. Belcher has no one to blame but his self since I'm sure Ben prepared him for a grapple heavy fight.

Happens all the time. In the lower orgs it's great to be able to say "X ufc fighter is here backing Y fighter"

And in the ufc most fans don't know them and it's not like goldberg is going to point them out.

Jorgensen and Warren always corner each other, it not a big deal UFC can't control that

Yeah, it happens with relative frequency. Before the Strikeforce buyout, I'm pretty sure Nick was always in Nate's corner and vice versa.

I wouldn't be surprised if Curran has done it before.

You mean you don't notice when Joe Warren corners Jorgensen? He's probably the loudest cornerman there is now that Kenny Florian's brother has nobody to corner.
