Tonight we got to see UFC hype the shit out oif Paige. it was ridiculous.

Even when Paige was in Waterson's bodylock and chokehold attempt, they were more talking about her trying to defend the choke rather than Waterson making her look like James Toney grappling against Randy Couture.

Then after the match was finally over, you hear Brian Stann say about Waterson "A new star is born"

I think haters are too biased toward the heat of the moment commentary. First off, they DID mention Waterson's good switching to keep the bodylock and positioning. Second, Why wouldn't you be discussing the intracacies of how VanZant is attempting to defend the choke? Or would you rather talk at length about Waterson holding on for 60 seconds + ??

They are not great fighters.

They were hyped because of looks. It takes away from what the essence of fighting is about.

Oscar Dela Hoya was still a really good fighter.
