How is it the UFC being generally agreed as the top of the chain in MMA organizations continues to put the same judges in the same chairs continually. Same way with the referees. The consistently have the worst judging on the planet and I watch every MMA org. that I can find. NONE are this bad and it's not just Sal. Remember, 2 judges were continually in the wrong on many decisions. I give up.

Bad judging has unfortunately become part of the sport..

It's not the UFC. Athletic commissions officiate fights and choose the judges.

You think UFC picks their own judges?

Because TJ can be promoted and Sandhagen not.
These judges serve the UFC. All close fights go to the more marketable fighters.

Judges shouldn't sit together. The 3 judges should have no contact with eachother. They should be seperated.
They should also be filmed during the fight. Everyone can see what happened during the fight. This can be shown after the fight.

I see a lot of displacing blame on all sides here.
But to think the UFC and the respective athletic commissions aren’t in bed together is naive.

Each of the 3 close rounds (in the main event) last night went 2-1.

That doesn't suggest each judge fails from the same problem.

It does suggest that scoring in this sport is heavily subjective, and that they were close rounds.

This would be good. They could sell it as "we should always be above suspicion." Alas, who pays for it. That would be the rub. It would come from higher fees of course. That would hurt smaller orgs.

Sometimes i think they need to drug test the judges.

It's all by design. The ufc has the power to create change and reform, if they havnt its because change doesn't benefit them.

The ufc is corrupt, if you can't see that then you're pretty naive (speaking generally)

It’s not the UFC it’s the athletic commissions. All promotions use the same athletic commissions. They are the same people responsible for training and selecting the referees.

The commissions need to do better

They do whenever they hold events abroad where there aren't athletic commissions

The miranda-barber fight judging was bad, but I can't blame them it was so uneventful some of the judges probably needed a bathroom break. Everyone crying about the 4th and 5th round judges in TJ/Sandhagen need to stop acting like it wasn't close and their own criteria is the only way to score a fight.

6 out of the 20+ recorded MMA media outlets scored the fight for TJ. 6. If you ask me it should be 0 but 6 did.

Well not everyone knows what they're looking at when it comes to fights, we know that as a fact, so yes I agree with you. It sucks that the ufc allows commissions that are clearly even more corrupt than them ffs allowing judges into fights where they're heavy gamblers like Dana.

If you have 3 bad calls/strikes when it comes to judging you should be fired and lose your license, when everyone and their mom can do a better job in the first place.

Meanwhile here in reality, Rory Mcdonald vs Tibau in PFL is considered the worst decision of the year, and most people thought Kielholtz got robbed against Velasquez.

Bad decisions are in every promotion.

Athletic commissions appoint judges and refs, not the UFC.

Athletic commissions have been corrupt as fuck for years. Good luck with them changing their ways.

    Did somebody lose money???

There were no horrid or baffling decisions yesterday. Not 1. The Phillips 1st could have been a 10-8 and 1 judge saw it that way.. Then he inexplicably gassed out and deserved to lose.

I thought Sandhagen was going to get the close win, but was not disappointed with the decision.

Cry more when there’s a better reason, mkay? Mkay.
