Next Sunday will be the 7 year anniversary since Chuck Liddell got ko'd by Rashad Evans at UFC 88. Was this when you knew his career was over?
Still to this day one of my favorite moments ever. At a house party for this fight, I was the only person there not a hardcore Chuck fan.
This, LMAO. I'm glad Machida got to show her why shrieking in joy while a fighter looks dead on the canvas isn't classy.
I thought it was over when he got beat by Jardine, after the UFC tried to set him up with an "easy" knock out to get him back on his feet. It was also the first time I thought someone died in the Octagon.
Yeah, it was a terrible KO. Especially against someone who I don't believe was ever KO'd previously. At least not out fucking cold, KO'd. Rashad stole Chuck's soul that night.
it was in the atl, i was there and you could see the sadness on all the mullet wearing fans in the audience-it got real silent (not even joking, there were several dads with their sons hair cut into mohawks)
Chucky dropped like he was dead on arrival ,I thought he was dead but chuck said he just got caught. Lol
What I remember was Chuck was dominating Evans, then got overly aggressive, while Evans ran. He over-committed, and Evans reacted off of adrenaline. Evans appeared stiff and tenative, until the reaction.
Yep. Chuck had already dropped Rashad early, and Rashad was looking like Chuck's other victims up to that point, with a terrified look in his eyes and constant backpeddling while Chuck chased him around dropping bombs on him. If Chuck hadn't lunged in at him when he pinned him to the cage he likely wouldn't have been as badly KO'd, if at all. If only he'd taken his time just a little more. Same with the Franklin KO.
