UFC 316 could turn out to be a banger as you got some action fighters on the card

UFC 116 is a fantastic event. The main event was nuts and a crazy comeback by Brock. The Leben Sexyama fight was a war, and Lytle pulled off a crafty sub, and Gerald Harris slammed David Branch into Bolivia

216 was also notorious because it was the Kevin Lee staph fight. I think that was one of the best Tony Ferguson performance of grit and offense. Mighty Mouse's slam into armbar of Ray Borg is one of the GOATs submission

UFC 16 was way before I started watching MMA, but it had that slam that every MMA fan remembers. Literally slammed Zinoviev into living death and retirement

Edit: just realized all three previous events had great slam finishes. Maybe Merab could finally get a finish and slam Sean, Rampage style

216 would probably be the best of this crop imo, which is crazy because the next ppv 217 is a top 15 all time p4p fight card. Usually a weak card comes before the massive one (see 199 or 316 for examples)

That's funny because I remember everyone bitching about 216 leading up to it

Bruh I was at UFC 116 & the Carwin/Lesnar fight was fckn insane when it looked like Carwin was gonna finish Brock. Then when Brock came back & won the place erupted. One of the loudest crowd reactions I've ever heard. The Sexyama/Leben fight was pure gold too. Good times.

Woah thats amazing that all those events ending in 16 had a slam finish (seeing as slam finishes are very rare in UFC). UFC 316 must have a slam finish to keep the streak going!!. Good find, very cool.

I'll be waiting for a slam finish tomorrow :D

They are all great cards worth a rewatch

Man, I thought for sure Mikey Burnett was gonna run the WW division after watching UFC 16. Damn shame how his career ended up, broke his neck on TUF 4 and still hasn't been able to get it fixed, got shot in the stomach outside a gym in 2016 with his son and survived, crazy stuff man.

Aww.

That's adorable.

Bless your heart sir. I believe you may be too pure and innocent for this world, but I sincerely cherish your sense of hope!!

I would love so much to be proven wrong and Merab to deliver a brutal slam finish for the ages.

I would eat the crow with hot sauce and pair it with a lovely red wine.
