UFC 307 fighter pay out

Wait. I didn't know the UFC made payouts public. Is there a page on their website for this info?

They dont... Nobody really knows what fighters make.
Well except sherdog... and Dana is paying them in Reebok coupons and 10K a fight.

Female champs do make at least 500k. Whenever they go to states that reveal pay it is shown that the UFC pays women the same as men.

What a lot of posters here don’t seem to realize that WMMA fighters have big fanbases especially the hot ones. Call their fans simps but they show up and spend money on these women.

Look at the social media at the female fighters. Ailin Perez has more followers than Khalil Rountree for gods sakes.
Indeed. I thought it can't get worse when less than mediocre fighters and nothing special looking women like Ostovich and PVZ were getting insane following (the latter has more followers than Volk and Aldo lol). I was so wrong. Sounds women really do take Dana's famous words "It's an opportunity" close to heart. Apparently Perez launched a full porn OF after her last win.

Honestly I think you get better fights when it’s about honor and not money. Putting too much money into the sport makes fighters too soft, more prone to glorified sparring and play fighting if they’re making bank, win , lose, or draw.

Keep the fighters poor and hungry

I heard this before. I'm speculating that probably for most fighters there is optimal economic situation where there is enough comfort and success to keep them motivated. Being constantly broke seems like it would be discouraging. But like you say, if the pay is "too high" they naturally become more risk averse. The trick is, the optimum income might be very different for different fighters.

The entire card combined doesn’t equal Frank’s boxing match

They don't list a source for their information. It could all be bullshit made up numbers or "estimates".

No one cares about fighter pay and how much another man earns except basement dwellers and union simps

Maybe more emphasis on win bonuses. Reduce basic “show” pay and use it for performance bonuses - win+ stoppage win bonus + KO bonus, etc

This. Why do you think UFC is way better than NBA or NFL from a watch perspective despite the latter being hailed as major sports. Basketball and football players are making way too much money to the point where all they care about is their next payday. Which there’s nothing wrong with but creates shitty sports and shitty entertainment from the fans standpoint

Nah. You’re just in denial. They have fans who will pay to see them. You are too blinded by hate to ever admit it

So no argument. Just a funny meme
The meme isn't funny.

And bc some might by the ppv doesn't mean that even a 1/16 of the ppv buys or live tickets were bought to watch some wmma fighter. Again ufc needs to put on all wmma ppvs so we can see how much the mens are propping them up like the nba does with the wnba.

Pereria should get 5 mil a fight at least. They getting him cheap

It's part of perceived money for the future not what it brings in.
Not doing it will make things look bad for investors and the image of the company.
Just take a big bite out of the lemon and get used to it!

These are not real, fuck do people keep posting bullshit.

Read the article lol
“Estimated payouts”

I promise you these are not real numbers

Also kayla Harrison didn’t walk away from winning 1m+ every year to make less than tecia Pennington

atleast someone in here isnt a total mark. Unless its a direct commission reported payout its not real and those would be reported by real sites like junkie or mmafighting.

I don’t think that logic makes sense.

For example

“And bc some might by the ppv doesn't mean that even a 1/16 of the ppv buys or live tickets were bought to watch some Korean fighter. Again ufc needs to put on all Korean ppvs so we can see how much the non-Koreans are propping them up”

This would be a dumb argument to try and get rid of Koreas on the roster. And it would sound kinda racist.

The UFC maintains a diverse roster of fighters to appeal to a diverse demographic of viewers. Something you don’t like other people will
