UFC 288 made me want strikes to grounded opponents more than ever.

Among other things, seeing Kron Gracie butt scooting and Aljamain Sterling on his hands and knees baiting an illegal strike, showcased some of the shortcomings of UFC’s current rules.
They also need to put more thinking into who’s on the prelims and who’s on the main card. Also seeing fighters pull back and coast after they think they’ve got 3 rounds in the bank is BS. I just needed to get that out. <Phew>

Yeah Henry would probably would have won pretty clearly if knees were allowed. There were at least 3 or 4 instances where Henry would have landed a few brutal knees to the dome. We know Aljo doesn't have great durability when it comes to knees.

Are we just going to pretend that people haven't been exploiting the grounded fighter rule since it's inception? It happens just about every card, but with Aljo it's "knee baiting"?
He does more blantantly. But yeah, knees always allowed would solve that.

Even Matt Serra was telling him to cut it out. It’s not a good look. But yes it happens all the time. When’s the last time you saw butt scooting in the UFC?

I'd prefer small joint manipulation and oil checks but to each his own
Fingers only. Fisting is a point.
I actually had a girlfriend before my last wife that could take pretty much the entire........

Butt scooting for any extended period of time is an embarrassment lol. I'm not a fan of guys exploiting the grounded rule either, but it's hardly a unique tactic to Aljo.

He can't keep getting away with it.
How bad would that have looked if Aljo won the belt by DQ (illegal knee)? I would start to question my reality. I don't know if Henry would even have it in him for a rematch.
