    Sorry if I didn't get the joke about American roots.
    From what Palatnikov says, his father is Russian from USSR and mother is Scottish. And about his citizenship, in one Russian article it was mentioned that in football videogames, 10 years ago, Palatnikov was listed as cittizen of Hong Kong (China, maybe?) and Australia.
