On Episode 1 of UFC 246 Embedded, former two-division champ Conor McGregor pushes himself at UFC Performance Institute. Bantamweight Raquel Pennington and fiancee Tecia Torres prepare for "Rocky's" rematch with Holly Holm... for a second time. After the long drive to Las Vegas, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone explores his digs then heads straight for the gym. And strawweight Claudia Gadelha arrives from a low-temperature, high-motivation training camp. UFC 246 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the return of Conor McGregor on Saturday, January 18th. Order the Pay-Per-View at ESPNPlus.com/PPV

Why does Conor always try to make everything sound so damn philosophical? Talking about his "Internal thoughts". All thoughts are internal.

He is not fighting for a belt. So, why is the UFC being slick with their editing. LOL

He was probably talking about the BMF belt, but they left that part out. LOL

He probably means thoughts that he hasn't verbalized to other human beings. He probably should have said "private thoughts" or "secret thoughts."

    I am just guessing.

at the UFC Performance Institute you say?

that had to be in the contract right?

Conor used his leverage to get Proper 12 on the canvas, now UFC using their leverage to get something out of McGregor

Feels like fighters who train at the Performance Institute have a shockingly bad record vs when they don’t.

Cerrone was in the pool of the PI, what do we read out of his? Will he drown in the fight? ^^

Talking about thoughts my favourite quote about them

So far as the superstitions of the logicians are concerned, I will never tire of emphasizing over and over again a small brief fact which these superstitious types are unhappy to concede - namely, that a thought comes when "it" wants to and not when "I" wish, so that it's a falsification of the facts to say that the subject "I" is the condition of the predicate "think." It thinks: but that this "it" is precisely that old, celebrated "I" is, to put it mildly, only an assumption, an assertion, in no way an "immediate certainty

Cowboy might extensively use lead leg teep(front) head kick.

It will be hilarious if he lands, and the style favours this technique.

Conor: He really does look good. Focused and concentrating energy on sharing his thoughts (even those internal ones!) with his entire team. Does he say he's 'sober' or did I mishear it? Sober can mean a lot of things but whatever he said it does look like his head is back in the game of mma as opposed to all the other stuff. Nice seeing he just went ten rounds sparring, though who knows people can say whatever they want.

Cowboy: So like him to roll up in a huge truck with two motorcycles in the back. Those digs he got look like quite the playhouse for him and his buddies. Smart that he goes straight to the gym, especially for the public perception haha. I think he's got a shot, he has tremendous experience and I certainly don't think he wants to lose. But I'd still favor Conor.

Rocky: Wow, hadn't realized her fight versus Holm was five years ago. She's been through so much since then since her nearly career ending accident. Nice seeing Tecia Torres with her. Torres said she thought Raquel won that first fight versus Holm. Will watch it again. Tempted to go with Pennington on this one as I think Holm's skills have declined and Rocky looks good. Holm does have a lot of experience in big fights and this one is the co-main. But I think Pennington can put a great performance together for the first time since her leg injury.

Claudia: Great seeing a fighter provide an honest assessment of her career. She was near the top for so long and says her head wasn't in it for a long time. She really is a pioneer of wmma. Look foward to her fight versus the young and hungry Alexa Grasso. Still going with Grasso but I think it's gonna be an exciting fight.

Didn't he train at the PI for his Khabib fight? You know, when his foot was a balloon? Maybe the PI caused it.

Nietzsche? One of my favorite 'difficult' quotes is from Hegel: 'Self-consciousness exists, in and of itself, for another self-consciousness, i.e. quasi self-consciousness.' I think some great philosophers were part-time comedians.

Aye spot on. Much smarter people than me have stumbled over Hegel, so not even tried to get into his work :)
