PBP UFC 238: Cejudo vs. Moraes - Main Card PBP Discussion - 10 pm ET/7 pm PT

I don't recall them acting like this when a male can is fed to a higher level male fighter which happens every card.
Most of those people weren't knocked into oblivion where you were seriously questioning whether or not they'd wake up. Everyone is so quick to judge that it must be because they're women, but there's many other factors to take into consideration besides just the difference of gender.

You thought Jessica Eye died from that kick? Either this is the first time you've ever watched MMA or you're completely dishonest or you proved my point and contradicted your own: that yesterday people overreacted because it was a woman getting knocked out.

People acted that way because she didn't move for four straight minutes. After the initial excitement dies down, if the fighter still isn't moving, of course they're gonna be concerned. They have a right to be concerned over a fighter's safety, and they should be.

No, the crying started immediately after she got dropped especially from Rogan. "Oh that's so terrible. so terrible". It wasn't after 4 minutes and you couldn't see if she was out for that long, the doctors probably kept her down as a precaution.

But really are you that overdramatic that you thought she would never get back up again?

I wasn't worried that she was dead, no, but if you're not worried about someone receiving permanent/serious damage after a shot like that, well you should be. Every source I can find says she was out for at least four minutes, so that's what I'm going with. She wasn't moving.

to be fair some fights can be meh. But so can men's. WMMA hasn't caught up to the men's (and never will) but it'll slowly start getting more women competing and eventually, more like Tatianna. Either specialists that are really good or women who are actually athletic. Might take a few more years but it'll get better.

Until then, I'm fine watching it, even the shit fights (though I won't lie, sometimes I skip a round or two to get other shit done or just do other stuff like post on Sherdog), but I definitely do enjoy top tier fighters competing in WMMA. There are some really good fighters, not many, but, the few make it worth watching at least some WMMA fights if not all.
Yeah the talent pool is shallow to say the least but the elite wmma fighters are truly elite fighters. I was happy to see Shevchenko get the brutal KO she is often happy just winning on points. Andrade’s KO slam of Rose and Nune’s TKO of Cyborg were all insane. I’m not a fan of the fighters when they appear to not be able to damage their opponent. I would like to see Suarez tee off on the ground a bit more. Maycee Barber may not be athletic enough to hang with the elite but I enjoy the finishes. Hopefully Aspen Ladd can get back to her finishing ways with a TKO victory over Germaine in July.
