So you arent watching this weekends card?

You didnt watch the Cerrone v Iaquinta card? You didnt watch UFC Fort Lauderdale? Or UFC Moscow? Or Thompson v Pettis? Or UFC London? Lewis v Dos Santos? UFC Prague? You didnt watch Dillashaw v Cejudo? (All those cards were ESPN+ exclusive)

So basically all you have watched this year is

    UFC 236 and 237 Prelims

    and

Barbosa v Gaethje and Ngannou v Cain

    2 cards in 5 months...

Honestly, you dont sound like much of a UFC fan[/QUOTE]

    Nope

If its not on ESPN or ESPN 2 I haven't watched it I've watched the bellator cards instead which have been awesome and PFL.

Truth is the UFC doesn't offer up enough must see cards for me to want to pay extra for especially when you can find them free on the internet right after it happens. Its all watered down ppvs no tyx.

I'm not a huge UFC fan anymore and neither are alot of ppl ......super low ppv buy rates and plummeting viewership numbers pretty much back my case.

That's cool but not everyone over 50 feels the need to change anything.

I'm 34 I dont give 2 shits about streaming lmfso.

Facts are #s are down be it ppv buys or viewership numbers so the numbers are backing my argument that the majority arent streaming

Well we have no idea what the PPV numbers for 2019 are, nor will we ever no because Meltzer cant find out from his cable company buddies

the only way we would find out actual numbers is if someone has access to someone in ESPN's number crunching department.

anythign else is just figures pulled out of peoples arses :D

I'm with you man. The fight pass shit the espn+ shit, the Conor and interim bs. Just isnt worth my time. I stopped paying for UFC and was just going to a local bar for the fights. Now they laugh if you ask them if they are showing the UFC. They say it ain't worth it. I fear the good days are behind us for a long time to come.

Well actually your wrong......meltzer did release #s for the first ppv available on ESPN+ UFC236 .......and guess what those numbers were SHIT!!!.<{MindBrown}>

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mm...rain-wreck-leaves-ufc-236-short-100k-ppv-buys

Yeah that's UNDER 100 thousand ppv buys lmfao ....we will in fact still get #s of UFC ppv buys I don't know who lied to you.

Like i said the numbers support my argument that most people arent switching to ESPN+

You were buying the product as a whole it is not about just one or two events. Just like TNT and ESPN buy the NBA as a whole. What do you think the playoff ratings are going to be with the Bucks and the Raptors?

Should be interesting to see what the rose vs Andrade ppv did anyone want to guess?

I've heard some estimates of 70kbuys....... I dont know about that low but I'll guess around 100k or 120k.

Not surprising people don't want to pay for a subscription just for the 'privilege' to pay for a PPV.

You would think ESPN+ plus subscriptions will rise dramatically once Disney creates the package of Disney+ ESPN+ and Hulu what could help the buy rate of ppvs

lies, ESPN went from printing money to crashing/burning
they were slowly being replaced by Fox Sports and others

they were drifting to obscurity and now have a place again, thanks to UFC and ESPN+ which continues to grow in subscriber and will reach new heights after the bundle with Hulu/Disney+

Ferritita bros will scoop up what remains of the UFC in a few years for pennies on the dollar.

Really curious how well 239 does, if a card like that does poorly it's going to be alarming.

People have been bitching about UFC numbers for 3+ years and they just got the biggest name in sports broadcasting to cast their fights.

Maybe stop worrying about the ratings and worry more about the sport itself
