I have listened to multiple analysts and podcasters speculate who is available to main event the MSG card that would be more appealing than a Nate Diaz vs Dustin Poirier being main event. Jon Jones and GSP were mentioned many times of two options to return to fight that night. I havent heard one speculate a possible female bout that would main event that card. I think that Amanda Nunes vs Cyborg would be perfect.

    What do you guys think?

I have no idea what they can pull together at this stage that would be meaningful, much less a worthy main event for MSG.

Personally, I think the fight to make from a financial/showbiz perspective was to do Conor vs GSP at the Garden in November.

I can see Nunes vs Cyborg being a strong possibility.

GSP said he was open to fighting in Nov but he's looking for big match ups. The only guy around is Anderson Silva but he's turned that down. Unless he plans on fighting Nick Diaz a 2nd time around or Ben Askren, i don't see it happening.

Rumor has it JJ will fight Cain or Gus. How true is this I don't know. Part of me will be pissed if the guy gets out of the whole USADA thing so soon.

I really don't think they would want a WMMA main event at the MSG. But what do I know.

I havent heard anything about JJ fighting Cain however if that is a real rumor I would watch it of course. Though Cain has actually been training at the WWE performance center for a while now which is interesting.

Problem is, who does he fight? Gus has a serious hamstring injury and might not be fit until end of the year. DC would not want to fight him and risk messing up the Brock fight. Would be lame if Jon's reduced to fighting Latifi or Smith.

Only other fight I can think of that would be bigger than a Nate Diaz vs Poirier fight would be GSP vs Ferguson.

It would be a great option but I feel like Holloway is still sitting on the bench since his "water overdose" or "stroke" as they are now calling as possible reasons why he pulled out of his fight. I wouldnt be surprised though. Holloway wouldnt turn it down Im sure.

    GSP vs Silva.

Just have a feeling the way Danas been denying it the way he denied Conor/Khabib was done for ages.

Yet at the 25th Press Conference he said "we're working on something big and worthy of headlining MSG".
It's the only fight i can think of.

Im not sure if it would risk the Lesnar fight. He would just lose the LHW belt (if he lost) Hed still be HW champ. Ya never know though we have seen it happen before.

That's what I'm thinking. Between that and Diaz/Poirier, it'll be one of the rare non-title PPVs they'll put on and it'll sell well.

I just thought of the matchup since both women have mentioned fighting at MSG being a huge goal of theirs, or one of them did, I believe both have. I think every fighter dreams of fighting at MSG

The fight would be made too late like Mayweather vs Pacman was made too late....However that being said GSP and Anderson may be on level playing field still even after so many years. Anderson still was active after GSP left the game as GSP only came back to fight once against in my opinion the easiest match up for him in Bisping.

I just seen a picture of Georges and he is looking very thin, as he said he wants winner of Khabib vs Conor. It would be a little late to pack on the weight for MW if hes already trying to get small enough to be able to fight 155.
