Lol at the delusion in this thread. Conor made Eddie look like an amateur and the result would have been much worse if Eddie rushed for a takedown.
Conor is a legit elite fighter, no way around that.

It was a fantastic performance by Conor, but another stylistically favorable matchup facing a chinny, inferior striker at a gaping reach disadvatage, with middling offensive wrestling and gameplanning.

Khabib would destroy both of these guys.

Fight was fixed because that wasn't the real Eddie, it was a stunt double. Eddie is no where near 5'9"

Eddie just got beat by a better fighter. The first knockdown was Eddie attempting his dart right hand. A quick lead right where he steps in and steps off to an angle.(or looks to clinch). He used it very successfully against Chandler, but Mcgregor countered him before he could step out. Post knockout late in the 1st, Eddie made the adjustment of throwing to the body instead of the head, temporarily shutting down Mcgregor's counter.(Putting doubt on the claim that Eddie was out of it).
Eddie tried to take Mcgregor down 4 times. First at 3:30 left in the first, Mcgregor reacts quickly and Eddie misses the front leg. At 1:35 left in the first, Eddie tries a double leg. Mcgregor blocks it with a left underhook and a post. Then shrugs off a clinch. At 4:19 left in the 2nd, Alvarez shoots another double. Mcgregor reacts quickly again. Pulling back his left leg and posting off on Eddie's left shoulder to create space. At 3:17 left in 2nd rd Alvarez gets a clinch on the fence. Eddie tries to drop to a double. Finally Eddie gives up at 2:20, when Conor gets a left underhook and wrist control on the other arm. Mcgregor shutdown Eddie's takedowns quickly giving the impression that Eddie didn't try to wrestle.
