UFC 211....Stipe vs. Dos Santos???

Apparently its in the works though not yet official.

Now I understand that dos santos was the last man to defeat stipe, but wouldnt werdum be next in line?
Hes been 8-1 in the UFC, only defeat being to stipe, coming off a win. Dos santos is also coming off win, but hes been 4-3 in roughly the same amount of time.

Werdum ducked JDS, so he doesn't deserve shit. I would like JDS vs. Werdum 2 as a title eliminator, but Stipe needs a fight to come close to being the best UFC HW ever.

I don't like the idea of instant rematches when the champ isn't longstanding, with a bunch of defenses. We should never see an instant rematch for a title where the champ lost again seeing as Aldo wasn't afforded one after 9 title defenses over the course of 6 years.

Apparently Werdum was offered JDS and it didn't come together.

Plan A was Werdum/Cain in a title eliminator. JDS vs a lot of other guys fell through (Hunt, Barnett, Struve).

There's no clear number one contender at HW so it is what it is. Werdum's last fight was not very promotable for a title shot and he overplayed his hand.

lol, you also don't get punched into a coma if you failed to do adequate research for your TPS report.

UFC considers the fighters "independent contractors" when it suits them, so they can't complain when those contractors act like it.
